Running the production
Scan delegates into event sessions at the door and see who came
Workshop rooms at conferences and conventions fill up with people who never picked them while the delegates who did wait outside. Scanning each ticket at the room door lets in the people with a place, says plainly why anyone else cannot go in, and tells you afterwards which sessions people really came to.
Scan tickets at the door of each conference session so only the people who picked it go in, from the dashboard or a door link on a volunteer's phone. The attendance report then shows who came, who did not, who was turned away and your most popular sessions.

Note: The door says Let them in, Already in with the time they first came in, or Not for this session with the reason.
Tickets a session door turns away
The door lets in only people who picked the session. It says why anyone else cannot go in: they did not pick it or dropped their place, the ticket is for another event or no longer valid, another ticket on the same account already used the place, the door is not open yet, the session ended or was cancelled, or the room is full. To let someone in who did not pick the session, add them to it in Ticket holders, then scan their ticket again.

Questions you might have
- What if two doors scan the same ticket at once?
- The ticket goes in once. The second door says Already in with the time it first came in.
- Can door staff let someone in anyway?
- No. A refusal at a session door is final. Add the person to the session in Ticket holders, then scan their ticket again.
- Does the door work without a connection?
- No. Each scan needs a connection, because the door checks that the person picked this session. The door says when it has no connection. Ask people to wait, and scan their tickets when the connection is back.
- When does a no-show count?
- Once the session has ended. Picked but did not come counts the people who picked it and were never scanned in.
- What does the door page show about each person?
- Their first name and ticket type, so door staff can greet them. It shows no email, phone number or order.
