Set up a Reddit pixel for your events
Put your Reddit tag on your Ticket Fairy event pages and checkout, so Reddit can see which ticket sales came from which campaign.
- Who it is for
- Anyone running Reddit ads for an event
- How long it takes
- 5 minutes
- Checked against the dashboard
Steps
-
Copy your Reddit pixel ID or its snippet
Get it from your Reddit ads account. Either the ID on its own or the whole snippet works, so take whichever Reddit puts in front of you. You need to be an owner, an admin or on marketing for this brand. If you are a promoter or on stats, ask one of them to do this part.
-
Add it in your brand settings
Open the Reddit tab in Network Conversion Tracking Pixels and paste the pixel ID. You can add more than one, so an agency running two Reddit accounts against the same event can add both.

Or paste the snippet and let it work the rest out
Import Tracking Pixel takes the snippet exactly as Reddit gave it to you, recognises the network and extracts the ID. It is the faster route when you have the code in front of you rather than the number.
-
Know what fires, and when
Your Reddit tag runs rdt('track', 'PageVisit') when it loads. On top of that, Ticket Fairy sends ViewContent when someone opens your event page, InitiateCheckout when they start buying, and Purchase when the sale completes. That last one carries the order value and currency, which is what lets Reddit report the revenue a campaign brought in rather than only the clicks.
-
Check a sale reports back
Buy a ticket on your own event, or use a test order, and look for the purchase event in Reddit. If it arrives with the order value on it, the pixel is wired correctly and your campaign reporting will match your ticket sales.
Or ask an assistant to do it
Fai, the assistant inside your dashboard, can add this pixel for you, and so can your own AI assistant through our MCP server. You still need the pixel ID from Reddit, and both stop and ask you to approve the change before they make it.
In your dashboard, with Fai
Add a Reddit tracking pixel to this brand. The ID is <your Reddit pixel ID>.
From your own assistant, over MCP
Connect your assistant to our MCP server and ask it:
The setup on that page starts your assistant in read-only mode, where it can look
but change nothing. Take --read-only out of it to let the assistant
do this for you. It then asks you to approve each change before it makes it.
Pick the brand I sell under, list its tracking pixels, then add a Reddit pixel with ID <your Reddit pixel ID>.
Questions people ask about this
- How do I add a Reddit pixel to my event page?
- Open the Reddit tab in Network Conversion Tracking Pixels and paste the pixel ID. You can add more than one, so an agency running two Reddit accounts against the same event can add both. It then fires on every event page under that brand and through checkout, so you set it up once rather than per event.
- Which Reddit events does Ticket Fairy fire?
- Three. These are the names you will see in your own dashboard: ViewContent when someone opens your event page, InitiateCheckout when they begin buying, and Purchase when the sale completes, carrying the order value and currency. That last one is what makes your Reddit reporting match your ticket sales.
- Can I paste the whole Reddit snippet instead of finding the ID?
- Yes. Use Import Tracking Pixel and paste the snippet as Reddit gave it to you. Ticket Fairy works out which network it belongs to and pulls the ID out, so you do not have to hunt for it.
- Will my Reddit pixel fire if buyers check out on my own website?
- Yes. The embedded checkout fires the same events at the same points as the hosted checkout, so a sale on your own site is attributed the same way.
