# Change your ticket type, time slot or event date

Some events let you change a ticket after you buy it: upgrade to another ticket type, choose another time slot, or move to another date of the same event. You do each from your order page.

## Before you start

- You are logged in to the Ticket Fairy account that bought the order.

1. ## Find the change on the ticket

   Open your order. Under the ticket, or in the ☰ list beside it, look for **Change ticket**, **Change time slot** or **Transfer Ticket**. The organiser can give these their own names.

   **Note:** Only the changes the organiser offers for this event appear.
2. ## Change to another ticket type

   Select **Change ticket** and choose the new ticket type. The list shows the price difference, including the change fee. Pay the difference to upgrade. If the new ticket costs less, the difference is refunded to your card.

   **Note:** Your old ticket is replaced by a new one with a new QR code.
3. ## Change your time slot

   Select **Change time slot** and choose another time. Where the organiser charges for a change, the page shows the fee first.

   **Note:** You can change a ticket's time slot up to 5 times.
4. ## Move to another date or event

   Select **Transfer Ticket** and confirm. Your ticket moves to the date or event the organiser has set up for it.

## Questions you might have

Why can I not change my ticket?:  The organiser has not offered changes, ticket sales have ended, a refund on the order is still being processed, or the ticket was given to you. Some events also stop changes after a ticket is checked in.

Is there a fee to change?:  Often, yes. The page shows the fee and any price difference before you pay.

Do I get a new ticket?:  Yes, when you change the ticket type. We email you an updated confirmation with the new ticket.
