Get money back on your ticket by inviting friends
Many events give you a personal link to share. When friends buy tickets through it, your ticket gets cheaper, and with enough friends it is free. We refund the money to your card after the event.

Copy your link from your order page
Open your order. The Invite your friends section shows your own link. Select the copy icon beside it, or use the share button, and send it to your friends.
Note: The section is not on the order page when the organiser has turned referrals off for the event.
How much you get back
The How do I get money back? section lists what your ticket costs after 3, 5 and 10 friends buy a ticket. Unless the organiser sets other amounts, that is 10%, 30% and 100% back. The amount is based on the most expensive ticket in your order that can earn rewards.

Follow your progress
Your order page counts the tickets your friends have bought through your link, and we email you each time a friend buys.

Receive your refund after the event
After the event, we refund what you earned to the card you paid with and email you to confirm. The email says when it shows on your statement.
Note: A full refund can remove the original charge from your statement instead of showing as a credit.
Questions you might have
- Which friends count?
- A friend counts when they buy a ticket to the same event through your link, with a different Ticket Fairy account from yours. Tickets bought with another promotion, such as a promo code, may not count.
- Why do I not get the money straight away?
- Your total is only final when the event has happened, so we refund it once, after the event.
- Can I get more than the price of my ticket?
- No. The most you get back is the price of the ticket the reward is based on, less anything already refunded on it.
- Is there a reward on a free ticket?
- No. You can still share the link so your friends find the event.
- How do I stop the emails about referrals?
- Go to Account, then Your Preferences, and clear Send me referral and prize updates.
