# Give a ticket to someone

You can give a ticket to a friend for free. The ticket moves to their account with their name on it, and it stops being yours.

## Before you start

- You are logged in to the Ticket Fairy account that bought the order.
- Your friend's name and email address.

1. ## Select Gift ticket

   Open your order and select **Gift ticket** under the ticket. If it is not there, select the ☰ button beside the ticket and find it in the list.

   **Note:** There is no **Gift ticket** when the organiser has not allowed it, or for a ticket you were given yourself.

2. ## Enter your friend's details

   Enter their first name, last name and email address, and enter the email address again in **Confirm Email**. Select the box to agree, then select **Gift ticket**.

   **Warning:** A ticket you give away cannot be refunded, sold, changed or given again.

3. ## Tell your friend to look for the email

   When your friend already has a Ticket Fairy account with that email address, the ticket moves to them straight away. Otherwise we email them a link, and the ticket moves when they log in or create an account with that address.

   **Note:** Until your friend accepts, the ticket shows **Gifting in progress** and you can select **Cancel gift** to keep it.

## Questions you might have

Does my friend get a new QR code?:  Yes. Your friend gets a new ticket with their own QR code, and your old one stops working.

My friend did not get the email.:  Ask them to check their spam or junk folder. If you entered the wrong address, select **Cancel gift** while the ticket shows **Gifting in progress**, then give it again.

Can I give an add-on with the ticket?:  The ticket's add-ons go with it. Where the organiser lets you choose, the page asks which add-ons to include.

Can I give away a ticket I was given?:  No. A ticket can be given once.
