# Join the waiting list for a sold-out event

When an event sells out, the organiser can run a waiting list. Tickets that come back from refunds and resale go to the people on it, in order.

1. ## Fill in the waiting list form

   On the event page, under **Waiting List**, choose the ticket type and how many you want. Enter your name and email address, then select **Join Wait List**.

2. ## Watch for our email

   We confirm by email that you are on the list. When a ticket comes back for you, we email you a link to buy it.
3. ## Buy before the offer ends

   Select the link in the email and check out. The email says how many hours you have. The closer the event, the shorter the time.

   **Note:** If you no longer want a ticket, use the link in the email to say so, and the ticket goes to the next person.

## Questions you might have

Am I guaranteed a ticket?:  No. You get an offer only if tickets come back from refunds, resale or cancelled payment plans.

I missed the offer. Can I get it back?:  The ticket has gone to the next person. You stay on the list for any later tickets.

Can I ask for more tickets?:  Up to the limit the organiser sets for each email address. The page tells you how many more you can ask for.
