The artwork and captivating visual teaser were conceived by visual artist Chinmay Patkar, who also serves as the vocalist-guitarist of the Mumbai-based band Corner Café Chronicles. [Delicate Surrender](https://www.youtube.com/embed/_ix21RgfDJw?feature=oembed) With ‘Delicate Surrender,’ the trio hauls in inspiration from new wave, goth, and post-punk music. Aarifah’s diligent vocals capture the track, which is laid out with optimum use of synths and guitar elements. Listeners are tossed into four minutes of a dance-inducing, catchy dream-pop, shoegaze, and rock offering. The band described that the song “is perhaps one of the most introspective songs, but is quite danceable… so let’s all happy-cry to the endless cycle of life’s promises and disappointments.” Long Distances initially banded together during the pandemic via online Zoom sessions.
