Shivang says he took time away “to spend time trying to find my calling in music and craft my sound,” after his last composition, ‘[Broken Mirror](https://open.spotify.com/album/4oc6kGEvJ1NbD7446xmS1S)‘ (February 2023). His latest piece is swirled together, drawing influences from alternative rock/grunge icons Nirvana, Australian rockers Silverchair, Indian rock legends Parikrama, the likes of rock bands Agnee, Parvaaz, aswekeepsearching, Antariksh, and alternative/indie musician [Komorebi](https://www.ticketfairy.com/word/2023/08/26/komorebi-continues-the-tale-of-kiane-on-new-single-watch-out). Interestingly, Shivang was also on [support duties](https://www.instagram.com/p/C2PdMJcyNz3/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==) for Komorebi during her performance in Delhi earlier this year, as part of her ‘The Fall’ album launch tour. Listening in, ‘I Killed a Man (in my dream)’ delivers a grim intro before steering in Shivang’s raspy vocals over an alternative rock theme. The gloomy string arrangements continue to form a canvas over which blazing guitar riffs and plucky bass chords ensue. Guitarist Jerry Allen flexes his guitar-playing skills, delivering ferocious guitar solo parts, one of which concludes this grunge ballad.
