While pyrotechnics and fireworks could be heard exploding, firefighters and other first responders were also seen at work extinguishing the unhinged flames at the festival ground’s mainstage area. Although the source of the fire is still unknown, the organizers confirmed via a [statement](https://update.tomorrowland.com/) online that no one was injured during the incident and further declared they were focusing efforts on finding solutions for the festival weekend. The situation appears to be gradually improving, as the organizers further noted they were working through the night on “possible solutions for the Mainstage area” and confirmed “no other parts of the festival venue, stages, or areas were impacted.” Tomorrowland spokesperson Debby Wilmsen [said](https://www.the-sun.com/news/14734229/tomorrowland-festival-fire-update/) at a press conference, “Years of love and passion have gone into building that stage.
