The band has made a comeback at just the right time with the pop-punk genre getting a lot of clout due to recent injections into that space by [Machine Gun Kelly](https://www.instagram.com/machinegunkelly/), [Travis Barker](https://www.instagram.com/travisbarker/), [Avril Lavigne](https://www.instagram.com/avrillavigne/) and more. ### Alesso & Katy Perry – When I’m Gone \[Single\] [Alesso & Katy Perry - When I'm Gone (Official Lyric Video)](https://www.youtube.com/embed/-ZFfIoBbOfg?feature=oembed) Swedish EDM producer [Alesso](https://www.instagram.com/alesso/) and the superstar diva [Katy Perry](https://www.instagram.com/katyperry/) have collaborated on a new song ‘When I’m Gone’, marking the singer’s Las Vegas residency, which kicked off on 29th Dec., ’21. Channeling the electro-pop energy like one of her older songs ‘Never Really Over’, this song too is a dance-floor-ready club banger. Alesso and Perry will drop their new visual for the song on 10th Jan., ’22 during the College Football Playoff National Championship on ESPN. ### Wiz Khalifa – Can’t Stay Sober \[Single\] [Wiz Khalifa - Can't Stay Sober \[Official Music Video\]](https://www.youtube.com/embed/1DcUUUYe8Ug?feature=oembed) Well, the title is absolutely appropriate, and if you follow the Wiz on the ‘gram, you will see that he is engulfed in the sweet white fumes of the sacred Mary Jane! ‘Can’t Stay Sober’ is as simplistic as it sounds and just highlights the fact that [Wiz Khalifa](https://www.instagram.com/wizkhalifa/) is happy living his best life which is complete with money, weed and women. He emphasizes it clearly with the music video shot at his residence, lighting up a doobie in the bathtub, living the life! ### Dax – A Lot At Stake ft. Snow Tha Product \[Single\] [Dax - "A LOT AT STAKE" ft. Snow Tha Product \[Music Video\]](https://www.youtube.com/embed/yotk9q7ZcWk?feature=oembed) Canadian-Nigerian rapper [Dax](https://www.instagram.com/thatsdax/) collaborates with [Snow Tha Product](https://www.instagram.com/snowthaproduct/) to drop ‘A Lot At Stake’ from his debut album ‘Pain Paints Paintings’. Dax has been a perseverant artist and has been consistently putting up freestyle remixes of hit rap songs. The California-born rapper + singer + actress Snow Tha Product brings some powerful verses with her own raw energy. Both rappers own it spitting on quite an 808-heavy up-tempo beat produced by [Lex Nour Beats](https://www.instagram.com/lexnourbeats/). ### Krewella & MADGRRL – No Control \[Single\] [Krewella & MADGRRL - No Control (Official Video)](https://www.youtube.com/embed/xohFbmCgUdE?feature=oembed) Changing sonic direction from their previous deep house and poppy sound, [Krewella](https://www.instagram.com/krewella/) and [MADGRRL](https://www.instagram.com/madgrrlmusic/) go all out with a hardstyle synth driven approach on ‘No Control’, the music doing justice to the name. The Illinois based EDM band, a team of sisters – Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf – teamed up officially for the first time with MADGRRL for this song, after she did a remix of one of their songs – ‘Greenlights’. Stabbing bass, hooky vocals, build ups, drops, everything you’d want in a banger! ### BERNARDO MOTA – THINGS WE DO \[SINGLE\] [Bernardo Mota - Things We Do](https://www.youtube.com/embed/2n1j_9caRz0?feature=oembed) A little late to the party with this one but better late than never, right? With releases on some of the most distinguished labels like Art Noveau Records, Simplexia Records, Karussell Records, New City Sound Recordings, Inner Shah Recordings, Fresh Take Records and DVRST Collective, [Bernardo Mota](https://www.instagram.com/bernardomotapt/) is one Portugal’s most sought after producers. His funk-fuelled Disco House number on Spanish label Miura Records late last year is our pick for this week. ### BONOBO – FROM YOU (FEAT. JOJI) \[ALBUM\] [Bonobo - From You (feat. Joji) (Official Audio)](https://www.youtube.com/embed/TTwXKuUvTMc?feature=oembed) [Bonobo](https://www.instagram.com/si_bonobo/)’s [9th studio album](https://www.ticketfairy.com/word/2021/10/20/bonobo-announces-his-9th-studio-album-fragments), ‘Fragments’ is less than fortnight away from its release and he has teased us further with a track from his album which is an extract of the rhythmic framework that Bonobo dispenses in his long plays. ‘From You’ is a pitched down masterpiece from the British featuring gorgeous atmospheric strings that blend seamlessly with Joji’s melancholic vocals. ### QUADRANT & IRIS – AMBERGRIS \[SINGLE\] [Quadrant & Iris - Ambergris](https://www.youtube.com/embed/7MBUC-ztt2k?feature=oembed) With releases on labels like Commercial Suicide, Dispatch Recordings, Delta9 and Guidance, the Seattle-based couple [Quadrant](https://www.instagram.com/texelquadrant/) and [Iris](https://www.instagram.com/irisdnb/) have championed the rolling and tech-y sounds of Drum & Bass and they are one the most revered DnB acts to come out of North America. Their recent release on CIA is their return to the label for a 4-tracker and our pick from the EP is the crunching Liquid Funk powered number called ‘Ambergris’. ### UKato – Momentine \[SINGLE\] [UKato - 'Momentine'](https://www.youtube.com/embed/1ksradlyx34?feature=oembed) [UKato](https://www.instagram.com/ukato.music/) once again as part of our picks and it’s for yet another banger. After his appearance on RAM Records’ offshoot label for the ‘Aether’ EP, UKato has now done a one up on the primary label for a tune that shows his ability to weave through the light and dark worlds of Drum & Bass. ‘Momentine’ is part of RAM Records’ gigantic RAM Annual 2022 compilation and it is out now on the [label’s website](https://ramrecords.com/download/rammlpd19d). ### BILLIE EILISH – HOSTAGE (MARA LAKOUR LOVE INTERPRETATION) \[FREE DOWNLOAD\] [Billie Eilish - Hostage (Mara Lakour Love Interpretation)](https://www.youtube.com/embed/PHaFHFQchNQ?feature=oembed) This one’s too good to be a free download but Parisian duo [Mara Lakour](https://www.instagram.com/maralakour/) have started their journey with a gorgeous Deep Techno freebie flip of Billie Eilish’ 2018 hit, ‘Hostage’.
