A pioneer of Jersey club, the musician launched one of the genre’s first Newark collective Brick Bandits, with Mike V in the early ’00s. Tim Dolla started MC-ing during his DJ sets and MCs were central to the club scene. DJs would frequently teach the people to do certain dance movements during sets. Then, as a producer, he made an enormous impact with his track ‘Swing Dat Shyt’. It [focused](https://crackmagazine.net/2022/07/uniiqu3-kush-jones-and-finn-pay-tribute-to-jersey-club-pioneer-tim-dolla/) on one of the genre’s popular dance moves at the time, and similar tracks from other producers jumped onto the bandwagon. These songs which also included dance moves were very helpful in making the Jersey club style popular.
