The new single picks up with a devilish piano score, gradually cobbling an alternative-pop theme, weaved together with steady drum action and Saachi’s clement vocals. Lyrically, the composition plunges into the terrible events of the COVID-19 era through the lens of the virus. We lost people, time, and in a way- ourselves. Atleast some part of it. Doom’s my religion is COVID-19 personified.” “The song was written in 2021, right after the third wave of the virus. I think everything was so all-encompassing at that time that when Ayan played me the piano idea and beat, it immediately clicked and visually played out in my head. It was almost as if I was the sadistic spokesperson of this destructive force.
