## Sell music festival day, weekend and camping tickets in one checkout

Fans choose their day or weekend, add camping and parking, and pay once. The multi-day festival template asks for your dates and stages, then sets out day and weekend tickets for you to price. Each day gets its own category and the weekend gets one, with every price release inside. Fans choose the day first and the price second. Camping, parking and the shuttle sit in the same checkout as add-ons, offered only with the tickets they belong to. A fan who cannot afford a weekend ticket today pays a deposit and the rest in installments from the same card.

Each release opens when the one before sells out or on its own date, whichever comes first. When a tier sells out at midday, the next price opens straight away. Your page is never empty while you wait for a release date. Give each day ticket its own doors-open and last-entry times, so a Saturday ticket does not get in on Sunday. A weekend ticket gets in once each day. Variants keep a campsite with several pitch sizes in one add-on, and you can keep campervan permits out of resale.

A [payment plan](https://www.ticketfairy.com/event-ticketing/event-payment-plans) lets fans buy a weekend ticket now instead of waiting for payday, and you receive the full price later. You choose the deposit, how many payments follow and when the last one is due. If a fan stops paying, the order is canceled after the grace period you set and the tickets go back on sale. An unpaid plan never holds tickets another fan would buy.

- **Day and weekend categories**: the next release opens as one sells out
- **Door times for each day**: a day ticket gets in on its own day only
- **Camping and parking add-ons**: offered with the tickets they belong to
- **Payment plans**: a deposit today and the rest weekly or monthly

## Sell through your fans and keep touts away

Sell 20% more tickets by giving every buyer a reason to bring their friends. Each buyer gets a personal referral link and earns back part or all of their ticket price as friends buy through it. Take registrations from the day you announce, and open a presale for registered fans before the public on-sale. Schedule your event page to go public on the minute you promised. Limit tickets per order and per account, and put a name on every ticket. Keep resale on your own event page at face value, where the next fan on your [waiting list](https://www.ticketfairy.com/features/orders-refunds-and-resale/resale-transfers-and-waiting-lists) gets the first chance to buy.

Reward targets give back a bigger share of the ticket price as a fan brings more friends. Prizes such as a [VIP upgrade](https://www.ticketfairy.com/event-ticketing/merchandise-integration-ticketing) or merchandise give your biggest fans something to aim for. The Influencers report shows the rewards you owe beside the sales they brought in, so you can compare each referral with your paid ads. Connect Meta and the other networks you advertise on once for your brand. Give each post, partner and poster its own tracking link to see what each one sold.

When a fan resells, the new holder gets a ticket in their own name and the old code stops working at your gates. Turn on ID as well as names, and the email your attendees receive asks them to bring photo ID. Your door team checks the name against the person. You choose how strict to be. A boutique festival may want names only, while a sell-out weekend with a touting problem turns on names, ID, purchase limits and resale together.

- **Referral rewards**: buyers earn back their ticket price as friends buy
- **Presale for registered fans**: first access before the public on-sale
- **Purchase limits and names**: per order, per account and on each ticket
- **Face-value resale and waiting list**: returned tickets go to the next fan in line

## Know each morning whether you are ahead of last year

As festival director, open your Today page to see the countdown to the gates and the decisions waiting for you. You also see what each team changed since you last looked. Compared with last time puts this year's ticket sales beside your last edition at the same number of days out. You know at a glance whether you are ahead. Ask Fai which ticket type sold the fewest tickets this week, or how this weekend compared with the last. Fai answers in plain words or as a chart.

Your heads of department work on the same event, so the figures you see are the ones they changed. Invite your security lead, box office manager or stage manager by their role name. Each one starts with the menu, permissions, Today page and help from Fai that their role needs. Give each stage, act and sponsor an owner. With approval rules, pass requests, equipment orders and deliveries go to the people who sign them off. A press pass goes to your press office and then security without passing through your inbox.

After the gates close, send a feedback survey to everyone who checked in and see your Net Promoter Score beside last year's. Fai groups what people loved and what to improve, and you add the top improvements as tasks on next year's event. Copy your stages, teams, shifts, pass types, site map, hotel blocks, budget plan and forms into the new edition with the dates moved. Then see what each ticket type sold last year, and offer last year's buyers their tickets before the public on-sale.

- **Today page**: your decisions and your team's latest changes
- **Compared with last time**: sales against your last edition at the same point
- **Approval rules**: passes, equipment and deliveries go to the right person
- **Feedback survey**: what fans loved, beside last year's score

## Know what each act costs and pay everyone you owe

See what each act really costs before the deposits go out. Each act's page adds up the fee, agency fee, travel, hotel, per diems, backline and share of hire, with a total for each currency. Those figures go into one budget your whole team shares, planned and actual for each section. Approved purchase orders and ordered hire show as committed before the invoice arrives. Headliners want deposits months before your ticket money arrives. Apply for Ticket Fairy Capital, an advance against future ticket sales that you repay from those sales. With Vault, your ticket money is in your balance as buyers pay, so you pay artists, suppliers and crew without waiting for your payout.

Fai drafts each settlement and works out the final fee on a percentage deal. You and the tour manager start from the same numbers. Approved crew hours go into the budget at each shift's cost per hour. The Spend tab for your brand shows what each event cost, by section and supplier. It also shows the cost for each person scanned in at your gates. Compare this edition with the last one and with your other events.

Give your heads of department Vault cards with the limits you set, and invoice your sponsors from the same account. Turn on payment approvals, and a second owner or admin sends every payment, so no single login can empty the festival's account. The Vault Events page shows where each event's ticket money goes, its payout and any Capital still to repay.

- **All-in cost per act**: fee, travel, hotel, per diems, backline and hire
- **One shared budget**: planned, committed and actual for each section
- **Ticket Fairy Capital**: an advance on future ticket sales for your deposits
- **Vault and payment approvals**: pay artists, suppliers and crew, with a second person signing

## Get every act advanced and every stage on time

Send each act's agent or tour manager one advance link for travel, hotel, technical and guest list details. Fai fills in answers from their emails and tour books, and you accept them. Running-order checks catch the same act on two stages, a flight that lands after soundcheck and a set that runs past curfew. Each comes with a fix you apply in one tap. Announce your line-up in waves, then call each stage from Now and next on the day. Every team works from its own day sheet.

Applications bring in emerging acts with a score from Fai and from your reviewers. Accept one, and the act joins Artists with a draft offer and an advance. Line-up changes go on your public line-up only when you review and publish them. When a set time moves, the email to your ticket holders opens with the change already filled in.

Any team member can report an incident from their phone, marked sensitive when it should be. Your control room runs the site from one live log. Each entry has a team, a zone and a pin on the site plan. Fai drafts a risk register for an outdoor festival with a score and a reason for each risk. You set the owner and the review date.

- **Advance links**: the act's team enters their own details, no account needed
- **Running-order checks**: clashes, changeovers and curfew caught early
- **Now and next**: how late each stage is running, live
- **Incidents and risks**: each issue reported, assigned and closed
- **Your festival website**: line-up, news and FAQs, translated by Fai for fans abroad

## Have crew, volunteers, traders and campers ready before gates open

Plan shifts by team and hour, and Fai lists who fits each open place from the crew and volunteers who work your events. Create each pass with its zones, days and meals, and hand them out at your desk. Traders apply on your own page, pay their invoice and book a load-in time. You drag each one onto a pitch on your site map. Place every camping and campervan plot on your site plan, and your campsite team checks campers in from a desk link.

Volunteers apply on your own page, and Fai goes through each application and says where the person fits best. Each volunteer gets one page with their shifts, open shifts to pick up, the day sheet and their induction. The hours they worked come to you for approval. Rota rules set the shortest rest and the most hours in a day and a week. A clash warning shows on your rota before anyone is booked twice.

At the public gates, your door team scans tickets on their own phones. As each ticket scans, the app shows which wristband to hand over, including the campsite band for everyone who bought camping. At staff gates, your team sees whether a pass opens that zone on that day. A pass for the wrong area is turned away with the reason, and On site now stays right as people go in and out.

- **Shifts and offers**: the first person to accept gets the place
- **Accreditation**: zones, days and meals on each pass
- **Traders and pitches**: applications, invoices and a place on your site map
- **Wristbands by ticket type**: the right band shown as each ticket scans

## How you can use Ticket Fairy for your festival

- ### A greenfield weekend with camping

A weekend festival sells day tickets, weekend tickets, camping and parking in one checkout, with a payment plan on the weekend ticket. Each fan places one order. The door team sees the campsite band as each camping ticket scans, and the campsite desk checks campers in from a phone.
- ### A one-day city festival

A city festival opens early bird, first release and final release one after another. When a release sells out early, the next price opens straight away. The festival sells most of its tickets through referral links and a presale for registered fans before the first paid ad goes out.
- ### A festival director leading every department

A festival director checks sales against last year on the Today page each morning. The security, box office and stage teams each start from a dashboard made for their role. Press passes go to the press office and then security, and the director sees only the decisions that need them.
- ### A festival paying headliner deposits early

A festival with three good years behind it funds its headliner deposits with Ticket Fairy Capital before the on-sale. As fans pay, the ticket money goes into Vault. The festival repays the advance from those sales and pays artists and suppliers, with a second admin approving each payment.
- ### A returning festival planning next year

After the gates close, a festival sends its feedback survey and adds the top improvements as tasks on next year's event. It copies its stages, shifts, pass types and site map across with the dates moved. Last year's buyers get their tickets before the public on-sale.
- ### A sell-out festival keeping touts out

A sell-out festival puts names and ID on every ticket and limits tickets per account. Resale stays on its own event page at face value. Returned tickets go to fans on the waiting list, and the old codes stop working at the gates.

## Questions About Ticket Fairy for Festivals

### Festivals

#### Can I sell day tickets and weekend tickets on the same event?

Yes. Run the festival as one event with a ticket category for each day and one for the full weekend. Each day ticket can have its own doors-open and last-entry times, and a weekend ticket can let its holder in once a day.

#### Which payments can fans spread out with a payment plan?

Fans can use a payment plan when they pay by card in a currency that supports plans. You choose the deposit, the number of payments and when the last one is due. If a buyer stops paying, the order is canceled after the grace period you set and its tickets go back on sale.

#### Will referrals always add 20% to my sales?

No. Referrals bring up to 20% more tickets, and events with passionate audiences often exceed that. Your result depends on your event, your audience and the rewards you set.

#### What does a fan pay to resell a ticket at face value?

Outside India, each resale carries a 10% resale fee. The seller gets the ticket price back in full, and the fee is charged separately to their original card. Tell sellers about it on your event page.

#### Which past edition does Compared with last time use?

Ticket Fairy suggests your last edition: the same name without the year, about a year earlier, at the same venue. With an owner, admin or producer login, you can choose another of your brand's events or turn the comparison off. Another brand's figures are never used.

#### Can every head of department see the festival budget?

No. Only people whose role can see your event's finances see Budget and Contracts. Door staff get the scanning app and nothing in your dashboard.

#### Who can apply for Ticket Fairy Capital?

If your event business is eligible, you can apply for up to $3M in the United States or €3M in Europe. In the United Kingdom, you can apply for up to £5M. A funding partner reviews your ticket sales history, event track record and projected sales. The partner decides whether to approve your application and sets the terms.

#### Is Ticket Fairy a bank?

No. The Ticket Fairy, Inc. is a technology platform and is not a bank. Vault banking services are provided through regulated banking partners. Ticket Fairy Capital financing is provided by third-party private credit partners, who make every funding decision.

#### Does the ticket scanning app work without a signal?

The Entry Fairy app needs an internet connection to scan tickets, so check the connection at each gate before you open. The accreditation desk and the crew meal desk still work without a connection and catch up when it is back.

#### Does Fai change anything or send money without asking?

No. Fai drafts tasks, emails, advances, settlements and payment batches, and a member of your team approves, changes or turns down each one. A person on your team sends every payment after confirming it is them.

#### Which festivals use Ticket Fairy?

Independent festivals, music and food festivals, and seasonal or annual festivals of every size use it as their festival ticketing software. Festival organizers often join us when they outgrow their old ticketing software, and our team moves their events across.

#### Can it handle high-demand on-sales and presales?

Yes. Ticket Fairy is built for the reliability that high-demand festival on-sales need, including high-volume presales. Music festival ticketing works on any phone, because the checkout is mobile-friendly. At the festival, gate staff check fans in on site with the scanning app.

#### Can a multi-day music festival sell camping and payment plans?

Yes. Festival booking is one checkout, with day tickets, weekend passes and camping in one order. Fans can spread the cost of festival passes with flexible payment plans, where your payment processing account supports them.

#### What analytics and reporting do festivals get?

You see revenue, sales by day and how you compare with last year in your festival analytics and reporting. Your music festival scheduling, with the line-up and stages, sits beside your tickets. Through an established cashless partner, festival cashless payment systems link each wristband to its ticket. If you want your music festival under its own brand, our team can set up a white-label ticketing platform for you.
