Ask Fai about your event

Fai reads your own events, orders and buyers, answers in plain language, and asks before she changes anything. A promoter who needs a number before deciding anything can ask her for it the way they would ask a colleague.

Ask Fai, the assistant in your dashboard, about your event by typing or out loud, have her chart the answer or make the change for you, and check her work before you rely on it.

Innan du börjar

  • You are signed in to the dashboard, with the brand you want to ask about selected. Fai answers about what you can already see, so your role decides what she will tell you.
  • You know roughly what you want to know. A question with a name and a number in it gets a better answer than one without.

  1. Open Fai and ask in your own words

    Open the assistant panel and enter your question the way you would ask a colleague.

    Obs: You do not have to name a report or a field. "Which ticket type is selling slowest?" works as well as anything more formal.

  2. Answer the questions she asks back

    Answer the follow-up when Fai needs a detail she cannot work out.

    Obs: She asks rather than guesses when a question could mean two things. Picking from her list is faster than starting again with a longer question.

  3. Approve anything that changes your event

    Read the change Fai proposes, then approve it.

    Obs: Approve it only when it says what you meant. She reads your data freely, but anything that changes an event, an order or a message comes to you first.

  4. Ask for a chart

    Ask for the figures as a chart when the shape matters more than the numbers.

    Obs: She draws it in the conversation as a line, bar, pie or donut, with her own sentence above it saying what it shows. Select the chart to open it full size with the figures behind it as a table.

  5. Check the figure against the report

    Open the report behind the answer whenever the number is going into a decision that costs money.

    Obs: Fai reads the same data the reports do. Say so in the conversation when a figure looks wrong, and open the report to see which of the two is right.

    Ask for the outcome rather than the step, and let Fai propose the changes she needs to make.

    Obs: She asks for every detail she is missing before she proposes anything, and nothing is saved until you approve it.

Things worth asking her for

  1. Send guest tickets

    Name the people, the ticket type and how many each gets, and approve the list she reads back.

    Obs: Each person gets a real ticket by email, out of your stock. Sent to the wrong person, cancel that order from the Guest tab: the barcode stops working and the ticket comes back, though the email cannot be recalled.

  2. Turn the answer into a report

    Ask for a full summary when the answer is going to a partner, a venue or the rest of your team.

    Obs: She builds a document in the conversation with sections, tables and the figures already in it, which suits a sponsor update or a post-event round-up better than a chat answer you have to retype.

  3. Check the weather for an outdoor date

    Ask what the weather will do at your event, or what it usually does on that date.

    Obs: She reads a forecast when the event is close enough for one, and years of past conditions for the same calendar date when it is not. That is the difference between guessing about a marquee and knowing.

  4. Read your flyer

    Ask her to read the flyer, then pick a file you are happy to have online when she opens the picker.

    Obs: She takes the date, line-up and venue off the artwork you already made, so the event details do not have to be typed twice, and only owners and admins can ask. The file you pick is uploaded to your event images on the way, and stays there whether or not you build the event from it.

  5. Let her read the page with you, in the desktop app

    Ask her to do it on the page when a job is quicker shown than described.

    Obs: She can move around the page, reading it and using the controls on it, which covers the corners of the product no tool of hers wraps directly. This one is the desktop app only: in a browser she does not have it, and will say so rather than try.

Reading, drawing and drafting are hers to do freely. Anything that issues a ticket or changes your event is put to you first, and a guest ticket sent to the wrong person is taken back by cancelling its order.

Talk to her instead of typing

  1. Start talking

    Select the call button beside the paperclip in the assistant panel, allow your browser to use the microphone, and say what you need.

    Obs: Fai answers while you are still speaking, and stops the moment you cut in, so you can change your mind halfway through a sentence. Your browser asks for the microphone the first time only.

  2. Keep talking while she works

    Add a detail while she is looking something up, rather than waiting for the answer first.

    Obs: She passes on what you added once the first answer is finished. Every word either of you says appears in the panel as you go, so the conversation is there to read when the call ends.

  3. Approve changes on screen, not out loud

    Read the change in the panel and approve it there.

    Obs: Saying yes out loud does not approve anything. Fai tells you a change is waiting and it stays waiting until you approve it in the panel, which is the same card you would get from typing.

  4. End the call

    Select End call, or turn the microphone off to stay on the call without being heard.

    Obs: The conversation stays in the panel, so a question you asked out loud can be followed up by typing. A call runs for up to twenty minutes and Fai says so before it ends; each brand has three hundred minutes of talking a month.

Talking reaches the same Fai, with the same permissions, the same tools and the same approvals as typing. Nothing said out loud approves a change.

Frågor du kanske har

Can Fai see other people's events?
No. She works inside the same permissions you do, so she answers about the brands and events your role reaches and nothing else.
Will she change something without asking?
No. Reading your data is free; anything that changes an event, an order or a message is put to you first and saved only when you approve it.
What should I do when an answer looks wrong?
Say so in the conversation and name the figure you expected. Then open the report behind it and compare the two.
Can I approve a change by saying yes on a call?
No. A change that needs approving waits in the panel until you approve it there, whether you asked for it out loud or by typing.
Why can I not see the call button?
Talking needs a browser that can carry a call and a microphone it can reach, and it is not in the desktop app. Where it is missing, the microphone button beside it still records a single spoken message, and typing works as it always has.
