Change what your venue's page says Dina spelställessidor # Change what your venue's page says A venue page answers the questions people arrive with: which door, what the rooms are like, what happens at the gate. Your team share the page, so each part of it is a section to order, leave as a draft or take off again, and every change is kept for the team to read. Add a section for getting to the venue, the rooms and the door, order them with Move up and Move down, and keep one as a draft until it is ready for the public page. Select either, and a form opens beside the list. **Tips:** The empty page suggests how to get here, what the rooms are like and what to expect at the door. ![Ticket Fairy venue page with no sections yet, offering Add the first section](https://www.ticketfairy.com/embeds/posters/marketing-venue-page--nothing-written-yet.png) Venues, a venue page with nothing on it yet. 3. ## Enter the heading and the words under it Enter a name for the part in **Heading**, then enter what people need to know in **Text**. **Tips:** Getting here, The rooms and Accessibility are the three the form suggests. 4. ## Say which language it is in Choose it in **Language**. It starts on the language the rest of the page uses, or the one you read the dashboard in when the page is empty. **Obs:** A visitor reading the venue page in another language still sees this section in the language you chose. 5. ## Save the section Select **Save**. A new section goes on the public page straight away, and the switch set to **Draft** holds it back while you work on it. **Obs:** A section needs a heading or some text before it saves. 6. ## Put the sections in the order people read them Select **Move up** or **Move down** on a section's card. The public page carries it from then on. **Tips:** Turn the same switch back to **Draft** to take a section off the public page and keep it for your team. ## Two languages on one page A venue in Mexico City has Spanish-speaking staff and English-speaking staff, and both manage the same page. The language sits on each section rather than on the venue, so one of you answers the parking question in Spanish and another keeps the accessibility section in English, and neither is wrong. Once the page carries more than one language, each card says which language its section is in. **Obs:** A browser hyphenates a Spanish answer inside an English page correctly, and a search engine reads it as Spanish rather than as bad English. ## Two people saving one section Your whole team share this page, so two of you can have the same section open at once. The save that lands second is refused for that section alone: the words you entered stay in front of you, the card tells you a teammate saved a change, and the control beside it reads the page again so you can save yours over what they changed. A move or a draft switch that a teammate gets in front of is refused the same way, and the list comes back as it stands. **Obs:** Nothing either of you entered is replaced by the other without being read first. 8. ## Check the section is on the page A section the public page carries reads **On the page** on its card, and one you are still working on reads **Draft**. Inget kreditkort krävs. ## Take a section off the page, and put it back A section you take off stops showing on the public page straight away, and the words in it are kept. The message that follows offers **Undo**, which puts it back where it was. 1. ### Take the section off the page Select **Take it off the page** on the section's card, then confirm with **Take it off**. 2. ### Put it back Select **Undo** on the message that follows. The section comes back with its words and its place in the order. **Obs:** The message goes after a moment. Add the section again if it has gone. Fai can take a section off a venue page and put it back, and she asks you to confirm each one. Show me what it says first and wait for me to confirm, and tell me how to put it back ## Answer what visitors ask before they come Where to park, what the door lets in, what time you open. The questions list sits under the sections with the same controls, and the question goes in **Question** with your answer in **Answer**. 1. ### Add a question Select **Add a question**, enter the question and your answer, then select **Save**. **Tips:** Ask it the way a visitor would: Where can I park? Is there a cloakroom? 2. ### Put the questions in the order they are asked Use **Move up** and **Move down** on each card, the same as on a section. The two lists are ordered apart, so moving a question never moves a section. **Obs:** A search engine reads the list as questions and answers, so your answers can show in search results. Fai can read the questions on a venue page, add one, change a question or its answer, set their order, take one off the page and put it back. She asks you to confirm before each change. Each change is listed newest first, with what it did, whether a teammate made it, and when. **Obs:** A section taken off the page keeps its entries, so the record answers for parts the page no longer carries. Fai can read the same record and say what changed on a venue page and when. The sections and the questions are ordered apart, so moving one never moves the other. Who can change what a venue page says?: The venue's owner and its admin, which is what claiming the page gives you. The rest of your brand's team can see the venue under **Venues**, and changing what its page says stays with those two roles. Does a draft show anywhere public?: No. A draft is there for your team under **Page content** and nowhere else, and it reaches the public page the moment you turn its switch to **On the page**. A teammate saved while I was editing. Have I lost my text?: No. The words you entered stay in the form, the card tells you a teammate saved a change, and the control beside it reads the page again so you can save yours over theirs once you have read them. How long can a section be?: A heading takes up to 300 characters. The text under it holds around 65,000 characters in English and fewer in a language with longer characters, such as Russian or Japanese, and past that the page asks you to split the section in two. Can I change the rest of what the page says about the venue?: Your sections are the part that is yours. They sit above the description the page already carries, which stays as it is, and the address and opening details come from the venue record itself. ## Har du fortfarande en fråga?
