[Sagar Deshmukh](https://www.ticketfairy.com/sv/word/author/sagar0204.md) 28 oktober 2023 · 2 min läsning ***Shortly after the release of her single ‘Friend Of Mine,’ English singer and songwriter Jess Glynne*** ***has been announced as the London festival’s August 2024 edition.*** Jess Glynne made history by becoming the first British female solo artist to score seven number ones on the UK Singles Chart – among them are ‘I’ll Be There,’ ‘Hold My Hand’ and ‘Don’t Be So Hard on Yourself.’ Her two previous platinum-selling albums have both become Number 1 records, and she has collected three Ivor Novello nominations, won a Grammy, and racked up nine Brit Award nominations and 1.2 billion streams. The British pop sensation has now been announced as the South Facing 2024 first headlining artist, who will perform on August 9 at the critically acclaimed open-air concert series at London’s Crystal Palace Bowl. South Facing is a multi-day, open-air festival that takes place each summer in the historically significant Crystal Palace Bowl. The iconic location has hosted massive names, including Elton John, Pink Floyd, The Beach Boys, The Pixies and Bob Marley. The affectionately nicknamed “rusty laptop” stage now boasts a blue plaque to commemorate the location of Marley’s biggest and last-ever London show in May 1981.  This news follows the recent arrival of Jess Glynne’s latest single from her newest era of music, ‘Friend of Mine,’ marking a new and more personal chapter for the GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter.
