Arunaja’s debut single Broken was released during March of 2019. With instrumentation done by her band and captivating vocals by Arunaja herself, Broken led to breakthrough opportunities for the artist, one such opportunity being the popular NH7 Weekender (one of India’s largest annual music festivals). She further went on to become one of the finalists on the Indian TV show, ‘The Stage’ delivering a sparkling cover of Sia’s famous song Chandelier.Soon after,  she came in touch with BlueNucleus(aka Sourabh Pateriya), an Indian electronic musician and producer who merges styles ranging from Future Bass to Indian traditional music. Being an RnB artist herself, Arunaja paired with BlueNucleus to release Cyanide.

Her new single featuring BlueNucleus, adds a taste of Electronic Dance Music placed with her classically trained high vocal range. She says “The last three years have been a dream come true for me and I am super excited for what’s in store ahead. Cyanide is a song close to my heart as it’s about the will of human spirit to transcend toxic environments that often put you down. It’s my story in many ways and I wish to empower others with this track”.

By the age of twenty-three Arunaja finished studying a three year course for Western Music, and by the age of five, she was a student of carnatic music, going on to be associated with a choir called Rock of Ages as a soprano and soloist. Her work is an amalgamation of her experiences as an artist, and speaks volumes of her music sensibilities. We cannot wait to hear more from Arunaja!
