Labels – Pratika x Krantinaari

Pratika & Krantinaari just released their debut single featuring Prabhu Neigh on the 9th of September 2020. It is a Hip-Hop rap song that covers the existing racial and ethnic disparity sabotaging modern, technologically developed society.

About the song

With the existing racial and ethnic disparity sabotaging a modern, technologically developed society, Pratika (aka MC PEP) and Krantinaari set off to call out the injustice rampant across the globe and in India. Both artists share the common mindset of dissent. They have always strived to address matters that directly affect individuals and society as a whole, and only thought it would be good to consider penning down verses together. The title ‘Labels’ comes from the idea of labeling people based on many racial, classist and casteist age-old ideologies that are still dissecting communities. Through the lyrics, you will grasp classist situations in India.

The song talks about racial and ethnic slurs, a part of the prominently dividing narrative. Power has been constantly suppressing and purveying chaos on a personal and global level. The extents of these differences can grow into scaleable issues like war. The rich get richer, the poor get poorer, all based on obsolete tradition, distinction on religious grounds, or people of different skin color. The bias among people has led to economic, political and social turmoil, something that needs to end, in the practical and fast-paced world we live in. We believe in ALL FOR ONE, and the power of a United society.
