A career spanning over two decades, the Surrey-born man has inspired a generation of producers by consistently dishing out groundbreaking releases. The Bass music virtuoso started his career on Andy C’s Frequency label and drew the scene’s attention with only his second official release. Since then, Sub Focus has turned himself into a global dance music superstar through his ferocious ability to switch styles from Drum & Bass to Dubstep, To Breakbeat by drawing influences from House, Dancehall, and Rock music. A twenty-year career has seen Sub Focus release several timeless classics on some of the biggest music labels in the world. His back catalogue includes 4 incredible albums, the most recent one being his exploits with Wilkinson on the “Portals” LP. Early this year, Sub Focus released a remix of ‘Airplane’, which represented Culture Shock’s manifestation of his dark and harmonious world. This remix was followed by the Psy-trance fused spin of ‘Timewarp’ by Dimension. Just weeks later, Sub Focus has now released a full-scale album featuring remixes of some of his biggest tunes over the years through ‘Reworks I’. In addition to the already released versions of Dimension and Culture Shock, the album features unique spins from Drum & Bass heavy-hitters like Wilkinson, Pola & Bryson, Camo & Krooked, Mefjus, Data 3, Bou, Misanthrop and Metrik. Wilkinson starts things off with a clean alteration of Sub Focus’ classic ‘Rock It’ by perfectly tweaking the original’s roots. While Pola & Bryson assemble themselves for a high-syncopated retake of ‘Follow The Light’. Austrian Maestros Camo & Krooked and Mefjus add a steam-rolling touch to ‘Last Jungle’.
