Top 5 Games Releasing in December

We have narrowed down a list of new games that will be released in December for you and your friends to enjoy! You can choose to explore vast lands from different planets, find the traitor within your group, and journey through an unreal world filled with mysterious beings ready to kill you. 

The month of December has a couple of games getting released, with some already available for players to purchase and play while some are even free to play, like Halo Infinity. Get ready for this year’s Christmas sale. Games will be much cheaper, so you can get a couple of highly-anticipated releases without breaking the bank!

Here are our top five selections for games releasing in December!

Halo Infinity

Developed by 343 Industries and published by Xbox Game Studios on the 15th of November 2021, it is the sixth main installment to the Halo series. Microsoft surprised their fans by dropping the multiplayer beta eight days before the scheduled launch that is on the 8th of December, 2021, for the single-player campaign mode. 

The single-player campaign story continues right after the events of Halo 5: Guardians that unfold after Master Chief is reunited with the Fireteam Osiris but also with the Arbiter and Catherine Halsey, the scientist that created the Cortana and the Spartan program that made him. We are really excited about how the story will fold up everything in this sequel!

Solar Ash

Solar Ash is an action-adventure game developed by Heart Machine and published by Annapurna. Players control a charter called Rei, a void-runner who is trapped inside a black hole, avoiding obstacles and slaying various monsters with her sword in order to save her planet. 

The game will be available for purchase from the 2nd of December 2021 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and 5. Defeat all bosses with your neon sword and save your planet from annihilation! 

The Gunk

The Gunk is an action-adventure game developed by Image & Form and published by Thunderful Publishing on the 16th of December 2021. Players control a character called Rani who is a scavenger that arrives on an alien planet alongside her partner Beck. The planet has vast biomes like canyons, caves, and jungles, but are all-terrain is covered by a black slime-like parasite called the Gunk that is destroying the environment and wildlife. 

Rani is equipped with a powered glove that can suck up all the Gunk revealing an environment that life can thrive in. Players may encounter monsters while removing the Gunk but after it’s been cleaned, players can scan the environment and log it into Rani’s notebook that players can visit from time to time. The Gunk will be available on Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and  Xbox Series X and Series S. 

Among Us

Among Us isn’t a new game that is coming out this December but the developers have now made the game compatible with consoles like the PS5 and the Xbox One. The game was already quite famous on mobile, Microsoft Windows, and even the Switch. 

Now you can gather up all your friends as the recent update just made this game of suspicion much more entertaining with the Role and Cosmicube that adds four new crewmates, a scientist, Engineer, Guardian Angel, and the imposter! 

Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker

Developed and published by Square Enix, Endwalker is the fourth expansion pack of the Final Fantasy XIV series and is an MMORPG that is said to conclude the tale of Hydaelyn Zodiark. 

The game takes you directly in a confrontation with the Garlean Empire who threatens to kill his people and destroy his village, until news breaks out, the mad son of the emperor has murdered his father for which he stands before you the Warrior Of Light. Amongst the mist hides an Ascian who aims to destroy the whole world and end his immortality.

While we yet have to wait a few days for some of the games to be released, you could try the multiplayer Halo infinity that is out in the Beta version for PC players to download on Steam.
