Coachella To Make A Grand Return in 2022

When the pandemic started its rampage in 2020, music festivals seemed to be a thing of the past. But while COVID-19 is still on the loose, vaccinations and its reduced potency has ensured that festivals can finally make a return this year and one of USA’s premium music festivals, Coachella is making a grand return in April 2022.

Two years after dealing with multiple cancellations and delays, Coachella is all set to make an emphatic return this year with Kanye West, Billie Eilish, Harry Styles to headline the two-weekend spectacle that is slated to be held between April 15-17 and April 22-24.

The multi-genre festival will also pack names like Phoebe Bridgers, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby, 21 Savage, Danny Elfman, Doja Cat, Run the Jewels, Jamie xx, , Denzel Curry, Caroline Polachek, Swediesh House Mafia, 100 gecs, DJ Koze, Purple Disco Machine, Turnstile, Madlib, Slander, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Arooj Aftab, Tchami, Koffee,Orville Peck, Disclosure, Artbat, Duck Sauce, Brockhampton, PUP, the Blessed Madonna, Peggy Gou, Spiritualized, Amber Mark, Slowthai, Fatboy Slim, and many many more!

This is the fifth time that Coachella has been rescheduled after the 2020 edition of Coachella, originally set for April, being moved to October due to the COVID-19 pandemic before being cancelled entirely. Soon enough, as the virus continued to spread, the 2021 festival was also canceled.

2022 will be the first time Kanye West will perform at the festival since 2011 while Billie Eilish becomes the youngest artist to headline the festival in its 23-year history. Harry Styles’ performance this year will be his debut appearance at Coachella; and once again this year, the festival will livestream on Coachella’s YouTube channel.

After COVID-19-related cancellations, the announced headliners for Coachella 2020 edition the likes of included Frank Ocean, Rage Against the Machine, and Travis Scott. However, Coachella have announced that Rage Against the Machine will no longer headline the festival, Travis Scott was dropped from the lineup following the tragic death of 10 attendees at his Astroworld festival while Frank Ocean headline the festival in 2023 instead.
