The Red Hot Chilli Peppers have returned after almost 6 years. This time with not only a single, but a whole new album titled ‘Ultimate Love’. The debut track off the album called ‘Black Summer’ is out now. The track also marks the band’s return of longtime guitarist John Frusciante.
The quixotic mid-tempo tune is filled with the full force of guitars, taking us on a trip around the world. Incorporating the band’s view of the universe, their goal is to uplift, connect, and bring people together. The record perfectly captures the essence of the legendary band, and bursts with energy. Just as with the likes of ‘Otherside’, ‘Black Summer’ reintroduces the bona fide sound of the band.
Red Hot Chili Peppers is an American rock group formed by singer Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith, and guitarist John Frusciante. The band will be completing 40 years together in 2023, next year.
Incorporating elements of alternative rock, funk, punk rock and psychedelic rock, and having sold over 100 million records worldwide, they are one of the best-selling bands of all time. They have won five multi-platinum LPs, and six Grammy Awards.
