Thriller TV Series and Movies You Should Watch in February 2022

Is there anything better than tension-filled, heart-pounding thrillers that keep us on the edge of our seats? Gasping multiple times at the shocking revelations, poor and difficult decisions made by the characters, you just can’t get enough of the gripping and engaging plotline.

With the influx of streaming services, there is always something to watch as there is a plethora of TV series and movies being made. From a TV series about office workers whose memories have been surgically divided between their work and personal lives to a film following an agoraphobic tech worker who discovers recorded evidence of a violent crime and seeks justice, this month too saw some mind-boggling releases and we’re here to catch you up on them!

Reacher

Amazon Prime Video’s ‘Reacher’ follows retired Military Police Officer Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson, ‘Titans’), who is arrested for a murder he did not commit. Reacher finds himself in the middle of a deadly conspiracy full of dirty cops. This includes both shady businessmen as well as scheming politicians. With nothing but his wits, he must figure out what is happening in Margrave, Georgia.

The series also stars Willa Fitzgerald (‘Scream’) as Roscoe Conklin, Kristin Kreuk (‘Smallville’) as Charlie, Maria Sten as Frances Neagley, iZombie’s Malcolm Goodwin as Oscar Finlay, and more in its first season. Reacheris based on the international bestseller, Killing Floor by Lee Child.

Suspicion

The son of a prominent American businesswoman (Uma Thurman, ‘Pulp Fiction’) is kidnapped from a New York hotel in the Apple TV Plus series – ‘Suspicion’. Four seemingly ordinary Brits who were at the hotel on the night in question are accused of kidnapping him.

Once the eye of suspicion quickly falls on the four, they find themselves in a trans-Atlantic cat and mouse race to evade the combined forces of the National Crime Agency and the FBI to prove their innocence. The series stars The Big Bang Theory’s Kunal Nayyar, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. actor Elizabeth Henstridge, Scorpion’s Elyes Gabel, ‘Murdered by My Boyfriend’ star Georgina Campbell, Noah Emmerich, Tom Rhys Harries, Angel Coulby, Gerran Howell, Lydia West, and more!

Kimi

The film ‘Kimi’ sees Zoe Kravitz (‘Big Little Lies’, ‘Divergent’) as Angela Childs, an agoraphobic tech worker who discovers recorded evidence of a violent crime. However, she is met with resistance when she tries to report it. In ‘Kimi’ we see Angela do the thing she fears the most in order to seek justice: she must leave her apartment.

Severance

This Black Mirroresque series produced and directed by Ben Stiller sees ‘Park and Recreation’ and ‘Big Little Lies’ Adam Scott as Mark leading a team of office workers. Their memories have been surgically divided between their work and personal lives.

A mysterious colleague appears outside of work. This begins a journey to discover the truth about their jobs in this series featuring Britt Lower (‘Mr. Roosevelt’), Patricia Arquette (‘Medium’), Zach Cherry (‘You’), Dichen Lachman (‘Altered Carbon’, ‘The 100’), Christopher Walken (‘Pulp Fiction’, ‘Catch Me If You Can’), Tramell Tillman and more!

Written and directed by Thu Pa Saravanan, ‘Veeramae Vaagai Soodum’ is an Indian Tamil-language action thriller film. Vishal produced the film under the banner of Vishal Film Factory. He features alongside Dimple Hayathi in the lead roles in this movie in which a man from middle-class family questions the authorities for abusing their powers.

No Exit

A young woman becomes stranded in a motorway rest stop during a blizzard in the film ‘No Exit’. She discovers a kidnapped girl in a van (belonging to one of the people inside) and she is determined to discover the identity of the kidnapper. She then investigates the group of strangers trapped inside with her.
