While the Sunburn Festival made its long-anticipated return to ring in the new year, fans of the [Vh1 Supersonic](https://www.instagram.com/vh1supersonic/) festival, known for its carefully curated line ups and experiences, were eagerly waiting for their favorite festival to arrive. Their prayers have now been answered and the multi-genre festival which hosted its last edition in February 2020 is all set to make a grand return this year. After closing their 2020 edition, Vh1 Supersonic had begun preparations for the 2021 edition before COVID-19 played foul and the festival organizers left a heartfelt note on their social platforms which [said](https://www.instagram.com/p/CHckHiRobY-/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link) *“Sometimes, good things fall apart. Earlier this year we ended the festival on a high note with the announcement of dates for the 2021 festival. None of us imagined that a month later our worlds would be turned upside down and a large gathering would be deemed potentially dangerous.* *As a festival goers experience & safety is our top priority, we’ve decided to call off Vh1 Supersonic 2021 and push the 8th edition of the festival to 2022. We promise you we’ll be back in full force for 2022 to make up for 1 lost year. What started as a Trance and House music festival, Vh1 Supersonic quickly went on to add a multitude of genres to its line up and since their 2014 edition, they haven’t missed a beat by curating line-ups that bring fans from across the music spectrum for their 3-day spectacle in Pune. Over the years, Vh1 Supersonic has hosted titans like Eric Prydz, Macklemore, Incubus, Marshmello, Grandmaster Flash, and Machine Gun Kelly to name a few and fans will be hoping that the festival follows a similar tale this year.
