English electronic music producer Skream released his first song of 2022 titled ‘The Attention Deficit Track’ with DJ and producer Jackmaster. The collaborative piece is available on CircoLoco Records, one of the notable brands in dance music.
‘The Attention Deficit Track’ comes with the regular edit as well as an extended Terrace Remix. The duo ‘locked themselves away’ in the studio to produce the track. Skream, the moniker of Oliver Jones, introduced Jackmaster to the Roland TR-909 and a variety of classic techno records by the likes of Jeff Mills, Dance Mania, and Lory D.
Talking about the conception of their new single, Oliver and Jacks state, “Taking inspiration from how Lory D uses and manipulates hip hop vocals in his live set we did a live take on the 909 with the sample using an oldBoss mixer and straight away felt we had something special in the making that was perfect for the Terrace at DC10.”
“Between the frantic nature of the arrangement, the madness of the dance-floor at DC10 and the 909 influence, ‘The Attention Deficit Track’ was the perfect name for the record,” they added. ‘The Attention Deficit Track’ has been played by a couple of other DJs prior to the release.
Skream and Jackmaster have previously worked together at the Boiler Room Ibiza DJ Set with the group J.E.S.u.S (Jackmaster + Eats Everything + Skream + Seth Troxler).
The latest single will be included in Skream’s forthcoming EP titled ‘The Attention Deficit EP’. The four-tracked EP is set to launch on July 15
