Things You Should Know About One Piece: Odyssey

Ever since the Summer Game Fest Kickoff that took place on May 2022, One Piece fans have been on the edge of their seats. Bandai Namco Entertainment announced they’re working on a game that features your favorite Straw Hat pirates going on a mysterious adventure, and facing enemies designed by the author of One Piece, Eiichiro Oda, himself!

With recent news of the manga going on a month long break, One Piece: Movie Red’s launch being just around the corner, and the anime going as strong as it always has been. Bandai Namco adds to the world of One Piece with a JRPG, single-player video game for all consoles and PC.

Release Date

Unfortunately, a release date has not been mentioned. But as the game is being made to celebrate One Piece’s 25 year anniversary, we expect some news coming out on July 22. Until then, you can visit Bandai Namco website and be informed about the games release!

Gameplay

With trailers and Bandai Namco’s website, we know players will have the ability to play as their favorite Straw Hat Pirate from Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Brook, Nami, Robin, Chopper, Franky, as well as Usopp. Although, developers have not yet confirmed if players can choose to swap characters whenever or moments within the story force them to do so.

There are a lot more exciting characters we see in the trailer, all while knowing the author was heavily involved in the development of the game. Through trailer footage, we see players take part in treasure hunting, various mini-puzzles, and an open-world to explore and conquer!

Platforms

Luckily, One Piece: Odyssey will be available on many of your consoles like the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Microsoft Windows. We haven’t received any information about PC requirements, but stayed tuned to know more.

If you want to be one of the first people to get their hands on One Piece: Odyssey you can visit Bandai Namco’s website and pre-order the game for your PlayStation 4 and 5, as well as the Xbox series X and S.

There are many more games coming out soon and we plan to cover all of them. Keep tuning in weekly for more exciting and trending gaming news!
