5 Venues Owned by Musicians

Much like other celebrities, some musicians too shine in several fields in addition to being very successful in the music business. Some launch their own beauty brand, or fashion line, while others model, become actors, or promote a product.

Taking a step even further, several musicians have invested in restaurants that not only offer delicious meals made with special recipes and a wide selection of drinks but also live music and entertainment, guaranteeing a highly enjoyable experience.

Here are five venues owned by musicians you should know of –

Jay Z – The 40/40 Club

Hip-hop icon Jay Z and his business partners opened the first 40/40 Club in New York. It is named after one of baseball’s most prestigious achievements. This accomplishment is a benchmark for power and speed. In baseball, the 40/40 Club includes players who hit 40 home runs and stole 40 bases in one season.

40/40 Club was first opened in New York City back in 2003, followed by Atlanta, Las Vegas, and the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn. The rapper was joined by famous faces to commemorate the 18th anniversary and reopening of his 40/40 Club in August 2021. The stars in attendance included Beyoncé, Megan Thee Stallion, Remy Ma, Lil Uzi Vert, and Busta Rhymes, among many others.

A paradise for sports enthusiasts, the 40/40 Club is a luxurious space all about sports, live music, and entertainment. The kind and energetic staff will be your tour guide in the lavish 12,000-square feet lounge setting. A go-to hangout spot for celebrity patrons such as Justin Bieber, Mary J. Blige, and Floyd Mayweather, it boasts sports memorabilia from the country’s greatest games. These include jerseys donated by sports celebrities.

Enjoy a lovely meal while catching an important match amongst people who share the same passion as you. The 40/40 club incorporates the charm of being at a championship game. Do make a reservation to secure a table and have an unforgettable night.

There is a wide variety of bottle and cocktail selections you can choose from in this glamorous NYC sports club. The main menu comprises mouth-watering appetizers, sliders, salads, entrées, and sides. Don’t leave until you get dessert that’ll mark a sweet ending to your visit!

Lady Gaga – Joanne Trattoria

If you’re looking for a restaurant that serves flavorsome Italian meals, you must visit Joanne Trattoria in New York. From romantic dates to family dinners, or even to have some quiet me-time, Joanne Trattoria is a great choice for any special occasion. The restaurant was opened in 2012 by Lady Gaga’s parents – Cynthia and Joseph Germanotta. However, the Grammy award-winning singer is a partial owner of Joanne Trattoria too.
