Coldplay, ‘Torn’ singer Natalie Imbruglia, and Grammy-winning musician Jacob Collier performed a cover of ‘Summer Nights’ in honor of Olivia Newton-John, who passed away on August 8. The band performed the song at the Wembley Arena in London where they had a concert. ‘Summer Nights’ is a popular song performed by Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta, who played Sandy and Danny in the 1978 film ‘Grease’.
The Chicks also performed a live cover of ‘Hopelessly Devoted To You’ from the film to honor the late singer and actress during their concert in Washington. After Olivia Newton-John’s death, the on-demand audio and video streams for her music saw a whopping 614% increase. In the week before her death, the star had 1,577,978 on-demand streams, but then the week ending on August 11 saw 11,267,494 streams.
Drake Breaks the Beatles’ 55-Year Chart Record for Most Top Five Hits on Billboard Hot 100

For the last 55 years, no artist was able to break The Beatles’ record of having the most Billboard Hot 100 top five hits. The ‘Hey Jude’ hitmakers held the record for having 29 songs reach the top 5 on Billboard Hot 100.
‘Staying Alive’ is Drake’s 30th entry into the top five of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, officially making him the artist who beat The Beatles’ record. Drake now holds the record for the most top five hits on the Billboard Hot 100. The ‘God’s Plan’ rapper wrote: “Ok I broke my records for the month now me and @stake need you to do your thing Bitcoin 😂,” on a post shared on Instagram following his achievement.
Selena Gomez Teases New Collaboration
New music is on the way for Selena fans. The singer, who just starred in the second season of ‘Only Murders in the Building’, has announced a new collaboration. She shared a black and white picture of herself with Nigerian musician REMA and wrote “Coming Soon” on her social media. Rema’s latest project, ‘Soundgasm (Puri x The Plugz Europe Remix)’, came last week. The singer’s debut album ‘Rave & Roses’ was released in March of this year. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Swift’s short film might be eligible for an Oscar nomination. The superstar’s filmmaking debut could qualify for the Best Live-Action Short category at the Academy Awards, which is only one of the three categories recognizing films with a runtime length of 40 minutes or shorter.
Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert Will Be Streamed on Paramount+
The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert is set to begin on September 3. Paramount+ will livestream it for those who cannot attend it at the Wembley Stadium in London. Apart from the Foo Fighters, the lineup includes Mark Ronson, Kesha, Liam Gallagher, Travis Barker, Roger Taylor, and Lars Ulrich, among others.
