Previewing the upcoming show, he shared via Instagram, “So 26 days and counting it will soon be bank holiday weekend where we get to see these too heavyweights of the scene Dave Seaman & Quivver at the Network club Sheffield. What a venue it is as you can see with support from myself Dave Lazenby & Craig Cassiera Holmes.”
DJ Craig Cassiera, a household name at Sheffield, is a former Gatecrasher resident and a seasoned DJ with over ten years of experience. He first gained recognition in the trance and techno scenes for his skills on the turntables. Eventually, Craig drifted toward the progressive house and melodic sounds during the pandemic. Intending to give house & techno more time on the setlist, the DJ announced his new project, GLYPH, a club night dedicated to these genres. He even produced a stunning two-hour house and techno set from Turkey’s Babadağ Mountain range during the lockdown.
We reached out to DJ Craig to comment on his upcoming show as he gears up for its preparations. He said, “It’s a great venue, with some cool raised bits that help make for an interesting dancefloor. The line-up sees two of the most respected veterans on the scene so expect an absolute masterclass in prog house. I’ll be warming things up with some seriously emotive tracks. Can’t wait!”
Lastly, the evening will feature DJ Dave Lazenby – an aficionado of house music and a mainstay in the city’s nightclubs. Dave spent his twenties and thirties traveling across the United Kingdom, building a name for himself in progressive house, deep house, and melodic techno. Lazenby is also a resident DJ at Subcode, a platform committed to bringing the best underground music to its listeners. Attendees can expect the opening artists to offer the greatest house, progressive house, and techno beats to warm up the dance floor.
The party will begin this Friday at 8:00 PM at Network, an independent live music and event venue on Matilda Street in Sheffield, England. Network was relaunched in 2021. The newly refurbished space originally housed Sheffield’s Plug, a live music venue and nightclub. The venue presently has a capacity of more than 1500 people and has hosted a slew of artists since its launch. Bands and musicians that have graced Network include English rock bands BlackWaters, Rolo Tomassi, singer-songwriter Cassa Jackson, and Natalie McCool, DJ Mollie Collins, to highlight a few.
