Paul Van Dyk Drops New Uplifting Single ‘Rhapsody’

Shortly after the announcement of his SHINE takeover at the iconic Printworks in London, the illustrious German Trance producer has dropped a new single with Chris Bekker and Jan Dzialek.

Paul Van Dyk is one of the most respected and emblematic DJs and producers of dance music. His name is synonymous with the scene for his contributions to shaping the trance sound and reinvigorating the sound in every era that trance music has graced.

Bursting onto the scene with his pulsating remix for Humate’s ‘Love Stimulation,’ Paul Van Dyk developed a reputation for his light and breezy style with a warm undertone. Then came one of the most quintessential tunes in trance music when he released ‘For An Angel,’ which became the blueprint for melodic and progressive trance music. Widely regarded as one of the first superstar DJs, Paul Van Dyk also has a Grammy Award nomination for his 2003 album, Reflections. Known for captivating crowds with his soaring and emotional style of DJing, Paul Van Dyk has set foot in the biggest clubs and arenas worldwide.

His DJing prowess has ensured his appearance in the DJ Mag Top 100 regularly while securing the first spot in 2005 and 2006; a feat only a handful of DJs have achieved. Some of Paul Van Dyk’s long list of achievements includes selling more than 3.5 million albums, remixing Madonna, Justin Timberlake, U2, and Depeche Mode, and accepting the “Order of Merit” from the state of Berlin.

Like the rest of his career, the last two years for Paul Van Dyk have been widely successful with his music. Taking his legacy further, the award-winning German producer announced his SHINE takeover at the iconic Printworks club in London earlier this month. The takeover will be held in October, with Ferry Corsten and Aly & Fila accompanying him in this spectacular show.

Following this takeover, Paul Van Dyk has now released his 5th single of the year called ‘Rhapsody’ featuring Chris Bekker & Jan Dzialek via his Vandit Records imprint. The is part of his forthcoming album and it comes shortly after the release of ‘Artefact’ which was released just before the announcement of his Printworks show.

As part of his ‘Off The Record’ series, Rhapsody brings Paul Van Dyk’s signature uplifting sound with Chris Bekker & Jan Dzialek’s progressive house and melodic touch. Sparkling synths cloaked under a powerful dose of deep bass, the track leans towards the producer’s progressive realms before switching gears and turning into a euphoric trance anthem. With this tune, Paul Van Dyk has given us a glimpse of his forthcoming sound that is now slowly taking shape.
