The Weeknd Cancels SoFi Stadium Concert After Losing His Voice

The Weeknd, who was performing at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles as part of his After Hours Til Dawn Tour, canceled his sold-out show mid-performance after he told fans that he lost his voice. The ‘Blinding Lights’ singer was performing his hit ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ off his 2015 album ‘Beauty Behind The Madness’ when he walked off stage, according to Los Angeles Times, and the song came to an end.

Just as another song started and the lights came back up, The Weeknd returned to the stage and said he had lost his voice. He apologized for having to cancel the show saying, “I’m going to make sure everyone is good, you’ll get your money back.” “But I’ll do a show real soon for you guys.”

The Weeknd also took to Twitter to apologize to his fans in a statement. “My voice went out during the first song and I’m devastated. Felt it go and my heart dropped,” he began. “My deepest apologies to my fans here. I promise I’ll make it up to you with a new date.”

Björk Releases New Single From Upcoming Album ‘Fossora’

After unveiling details about her forthcoming album titled ‘Fossora’, Björk has dropped the LP’s lead single – ‘Atopos’. Prior to its release, the Icelandic singer tweeted, ‘Atopos’ is “kinda like fossora’s passport. Sonically a heavy bottom-ended bass world. We have 6 bass clarinets, punchy sub drilling, nesting and digging us into the ground.”

The latest album comes five years after her previous release, ‘Utopia’, in 2017. ‘Fossora’, the singer’s 10th album, will be a 10-track LP inspired by the passing of Björk’s mother in 2018. Simultaneously, she also announced a new podcast, Björk: Sonic Symbolism, to discuss her discography. “In the conversations on this podcast, me and my friends try to capture which moods, timbres, and tempos were vibrating during each of my 10 albums,” she says in the trailer.

Backstreet Boys to Release First-ever Christmas Album

Backstreet Boys have given an early Christmas present to their fans! The outfit announced ‘A Very Backstreet Christmas’, their first-ever Christmas album to be out on October 4. They also dropped a cover of Wham!’s ‘Last Christmas’ as the first single.

Member AJ McLean reveals NSYNC’s Justin Timberlake to be an inspiration for one of the tracks off the record. “Nick (Carter) would be the first to tell you he really wanted ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling!’ to be the inspiration for one song,” McLean told Variety.

‘A Very Backstreet Christmas’ will have Backstreet Boys cover ‘White Christmas’ and ‘Winter Wonderland’, and also have original tracks such as ‘Christmas in New York,’ ‘Together,’ and ‘Happy Days.’ “This is Backstreet in its truest form. It’s very mature and the vocals sound incredible. It’s the best we’ve sounded as a group in years,” said McLean.

Kelly Clarkson Teases New Album About Divorce

Following 2017’s ‘Meaning of Life,’ Kelly Clarkson unveils details about her imminent album. Amidst hosting The Kelly Clarkson Show, and being a judge on The Voice and American Song Contest, Clarkson has kept herself busy since winning the first-ever edition of the ‘American Idol’. “It’s coming out next year. And this is an important album,” said Clarkson in an interview with Variety.

The album will be out sometime in 2023 and will chronicle the emotional journey the singer went through during her divorce. “I’m through it now, but there is somebody else who is in it, and that’s a hard place to be, especially if you feel alone. It’s a hard thing to describe, it’s a hard thing to go through publicly, it’s hard with kids. This record, I think I wrote this for a reason — not just for me, but maybe someone else can benefit from it,” she said regarding the correlation between her divorce and the album.
