He wrote “NEW… ALBUM” in a tweet on Twitter.

Avicii Is Honored With New Wind Sculpture in a Stockholm Park

A new sculpture has been installed at Humlegården park to honor Tim Bergling, who is popularly known as Avicii. It was the late EDM star’s favorite park in Stockholm which now houses the sculpture ‘Standing Waves’ in his memory. This sculpture was crafted by artists Adèle Essle Zeiss and Liva Isakson Lundin, while it was commissioned by Östermalm District Council in consultation with the music producer’s family. The sculpture, which was activated by the force of the wind, was unveiled on September 1. Avicii’s parents and founders of the Tim Bergling Foundation were present at the commemoration ceremony, accompanied by speeches and music.

“Like the wind, music can be experienced immaterially and spread through waves in the air,” said Zeiss and Lundin. The sculpture “reminds us how the energy of Tim Bergling’s music made people meet, feel and dance.”

“The wind also becomes a symbol of the uncontrollable forces that each individual encounters in life. The shifting movements of the sculpture make visible how complex a person is,” they added in a shared statement.

Andréa Hedin, said: “We want to pay tribute to Tim Bergling, whose music has meant so much to people around the world.” “The changing expression of the artwork and the location in Humlegården, one of Tim’s favorite places, make us remember him on many different levels,” she explained. Hedin is the chair of the City District Council of Östermalm who added: “It is also a way of honoring all the people who have passed away far too early due to mental illness.”

Bonobo’s ‘ATK’ Is Out Now

Bonobo has released his latest single ‘ATK’, accompanied by a video. His latest album ‘Fragments’ came in January this year and featured Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, O’Flynn, and Joji, among others. Simon Green AKA Bonobo’s new song is out on his Outlier label (in partnership with Ninja Tune).

“Initially a DJ edit of Atakora Manu’s ‘Dada’, it became something fuller and a track of its own,” the musician said about the song. “I felt it was a little too bashy to fit on the album, and wanted to save it as an OUTLIER release to be aimed more at the dancefloor.”

“We wanted to create a minimal film embodying ideas of serendipity and perception, allowing the world to reveal itself in unusual ways spontaneously,” the McGloughlin Brothers who directed the ‘ATK’ video said in a statement. “If you have ever looked out of a train window to see the wires and tiles weave and dance in a magical way, this, in essence, is what we wanted to capture in our film. Our own living ‘zoetrope’.”
