After the success of its debut Tulum edition early this year, the drum & bass experience in paradise is set to make a return during March 2023.
While the drum & bass fraternity is still immersed in the euphoria of the SUNANDBASS Festival which made its return to its spiritual home after two long years, we now have the LOCUS Festival coming in with its second edition in March 2023. LOCUS has been a mainstay in drum & bass, hosting carefully curated parties with the most stellar line ups for over two decades.
Tulum is historically known for its techno and house prowess. The shiny sands and blue-clad beaches of the exotic destination had never experienced the pulsating frequencies of drum & bass. In came the founders of Ticket Fairy, Ritesh Patel aka Rit Locus, and Jigar Patel with a plan, and announced the biggest drum & bass line-up North & Latin America had ever witnessed.
Held in April 2022 at the Mía Restaurant & Beach Club in Tulum, LOCUS brought heavyweights and prodigies alike to host a 4-day showcase of drum & bass in paradise. Day 1 of the festival was graced by DJ Marky, dBridge, Instra:mental and Breakage bringing their lush, deep and intricate DnB; while day 2 brought Fabio & Grooverider, the godfathers of drum & bass. They were accompanied by Dub Phizix & Strategy, Dave Owen, Submotive, Mexican DnB talent, Mukiyare.
Day 3 and 4 was drum & bass extravaganza with London Elektricity, TeeBee, Etherwood, Technimatic, PAV4N, Visages, Submorphics, and Kid Drama taking over the decks, followed by Workforce, Commix, Loxy, Klute, Seba, Sam Binga, and Quadrant & Iris who closed the festival in grand style.
After its tremendously successful debut in Tulum, LOCUS Festival is all set to make its return with a line-up that will, like last time, blow your mind. The festival will be held during the first week of March 2023, starting from 2nd until the 5th of March.
