GRiZ Shares New Album ‘Chasing the Golden Hour 4’

Following months of anticipation, multi-instrumentalist and producer GRiZ has finally released ‘Chasing The Golden Hour 4’, his fourth installment of the ‘Chasing The Golden Hour’ compilations.

GRiZ kicked off the era with singles ‘Your Light’ and ‘On a High’, which defined the sound of his album way before its release. ‘Chasing The Golden Hour 4’ continues his exploration of minimal and melodic tones that were also showcased in his previous installments. The nine-tracked LP features hip-hop collaborator ProbCause and vocalist Chrishira Perrier on ‘Airplane Mode’.

Regarding the sound of his catalog, GRiZ said, “I wanted to recreate the carefree good vibes you feel when it’s just about sunset on the perfect summer evening and everything is the most beautiful shimmering tint of gold. ‘Chasing The Golden Hour’ is that magical moment, it is the cool breeze against your back, it is sweet summer swagger in music form.”

GRiZ’s latest ‘Chasing The Golden Hour’ addition comes two years after volume 3 in 2020, with volumes 1 and 2 released back in 2015 and 2017, respectively. He rolled out ‘Rainbow Brain’ in 2021, while also playing at events like ‘Another World’ at Colorado’s 1st Bank Center, ‘Space Camp’ at Hampton Coliseum, and ‘GRiZMAS’ at The Masonic Temple in Detroit.

Apart from the album release, 2022 saw GRiZ collaborate with LSDREAM on ‘Funkonaut’, CloZee on ‘Color Of Your Soul’, TVBOO on ‘Bass Music’, and featured on Big Gigantic’s album ‘Brighter Future 2’. The Detroit-based artist is set to go on tour in support of ‘Chasing The Golden Hour 4′ from October 2022.
