‘All Crews’ to Get Third Update With an Accompanying Audiobook

The All Crews jungle drum and bass book, which was first published in 1999, is getting a third update with a forthcoming edition set to be released next year. For the first time ever, this book will be accompanied by an audiobook, and its author, Brian Belle-Fortune, intends to soundtrack it.

“It’s been over fifteen years since the last edition of All Crews, and since then Jungle Drum and Bass has truly gone global,” author Belle-Fortune said. “Since the scene has survived the rise of streaming, mass venue closures and pandemics, we decided the book deserved an update,” he added.

Publisher Velocity Press and the book’s author are running a competition to find “authentic” jungle drum and bass music to soundtrack the audiobook. They wish to include music from all across the genre, but the tracks should be unreleased. They should have minimal vocals. These tracks should be from producers who have not been signed to a record label yet.

“We want the updated edition of All Crews to be accessible to as many heads as possible, so we’re also recording it as an audiobook,” Belle-Fortune said. “It only seems right to soundtrack the audiobook with the ruffest Jungle Drum and Bass tunes we can get our hands on, and give up-and-coming producers the chance to hear their tracks in the audiobook.”

To enter the competition, you can email [email protected] before October 1, 2022.

“Sadly we can’t offer any cash prizes for your tracks but you will be interviewed by @brianbellefortune and featured in the print edition too,” All Crews shared on their Instagram page.

This company will let people make music and sell it on the blockchain. Creators will also be able to collaborate with other musicians on it.
