Squiggle Dee Mash – The Manchester Drum & Bass Night Returns After 20 Years

The iconic drum and bass nights in Manchester’s music history is set to return 20 years after their culmination in 2002. Squiggle Dee Mash 2022 will be held on October 21 at Bee House MCR from 10 PM to 4 AM.

The show will feature the original resident DJs along with other special guests for its legendary return. It will consist of two rooms for jungle, drum and bass, hardcore, hip hop, house, drummers, dancers, and SquiggleDee ravers. Headlined by DJ Rap, the night will also host Ragga Twins, Sappo, Mark XTC, DJ Prophecy, Outlander, Diemond’ED, Veba, MC Madrush, MC Crystalize, MC Chilla and Kerin aka Che3kz (live PA).

Ottilia Ordog, a music promoter and founder of Squiggle Dee Mash resurrected the show now. “When I tried our former residents Sappo, Mark XTC and DJ Prophecy, they were all well up for it. It all just started coming together like it was meant to be,” she said regarding the upcoming Squiggle Dee Mash 2022.

Circus Records Shares Cookie Monsta’s First Posthumous 

Two years after the unfortunate demise of dubstep trailblazer Cookie Monsta, Circus Records dropped Monsta’s first posthumous single titled ‘I’m Delighted’, featuring Flux Pavilion and Koven. 

Tony Cook, known popularly by his stage name Cookie Monsta, left behind this incomplete track, which has now been completed by Flux Pavilion and Koven. The entire profits of ‘I’m Delighted’ will be donated to Monsta’s son.

“To finally release ‘I’m Delighted’ is a bittersweet moment, it’s tough for all to go back to a piece of music that was born in the final few months of our friend and brother’s journey. But it is a wonderful, emotionally charged song and the world deserves to hear it,” read a statement by Circus Records.

REZZ Announces the Curation of Her Own “Festival-Type” Event in 2023

Mere months after disclosing the forthcoming launch of her new label, REZZ is now developing her own “festival-type” event! The DJ and producer took to Twitter to announce her latest project. She said, “I’m feeling RIDICULOUSLY excited currently while I am envisioning and making notes on a VERY specific festival-type curated event I will be throwing some time in 2023.”

Not much is known about the festival yet, but fans of the artist are thrilled to hear the news. 

Tiësto Drops a Remix for Tiga’s Classic Hit ‘Mind Dimension’

Clubs in the early 2000s were defined by Tiga’s techno classic track ‘Mind Dimension’. While many DJs have rolled out their interpolations of ‘Mind Dimension,’ it’s now time for the world to hear Tiësto’s remix. Released on September 23 via Different Recordings, the Grammy-award-winning producer announced the track’s release on Instagram with its lyrics, “Every time I look into your eyes I see the future.”

Ultra Music Festival Announces First Phase Lineup for 2023 Edition

The 23rd edition of Ultra Music Festival is mere months away! Set to be held on March 24-26 at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami, the first phase lineup have been revealed. Swedish House Mafia were disclosed to be the headliners at last year’s Ultra Music Festival.

Armin van Buuren, Carl Cox, CloZee, Eric Prydz, Grimes, Gryffin, Martin Garrix, Zedd, REZZ, Oliver Heldens b2b Tchami Martin Garrixx, among others, will put forth an exclusive stage. Claude VonStroke, Hardwell, Vintage Culture, Tales of Us, Hi-Lo b2b Testpilot, Kaskade and Deadmau5 alias Kx5, are also part of the phase one lineup. 

The artists will sprawl across Ultra Main Stage, the Resistance Stage, the Live Stage, the Worldwide Stage, and UMF Radio. Phase two lineup is coming soon!
