David Guetta and MORTEN Release New Single ‘Element’, Noisia Share Footage of Final Performance at Lowlands Festival, and More

David Guetta Becomes the 4th Most-Streamed Artist on Spotify

David Guetta became the 4th most-streamed artist on Spotify this week. The renowned French DJ, who kicked off this year by dropping the single ‘Permanence’ with MORTEN, took to social media to share a list displaying the five most-streamed artists on Spotify. Pop star Ed Sheeran holds the number one spot on the chart, followed by the Weeknd and Justin Bieber. Harry Styles is the fifth-most streamed artist on Spotify behind Guetta.

He wrote on his Instagram: “4th Most Streamed Artist in the world on @spotify! As dance music artists, we were underdogs for too long. Now more than ever, we are making an impact! I’m living a dream, and this incredible support of my music, which is my entire life, means the world to me. Thank you all for making it so beautiful ??.”

He also rolled out ‘I’m Good (Blue)’ with Bebe Rexha in August this year. The song has garnered over 232 million streams on Spotify so far. 

Charlotte de Witte Releases New EP ‘Apollo’

Charlotte de Witte has released a four-track EP titled ‘Apollo’. The opening track on the EP is ‘Missing Channel – Original Mix’ followed by the title track ‘Apollo – Original Mix’. Before the closing track, ‘PPC – Original Mix’ comes track 3 – ‘Mercury – Original Mix’. Earlier this year, the Belgian techno phenomenon played for the victims of Ukraine in Brussels. She also took the Tomorrowland Winter, EDC, and Printworks London stages this year, among many others, and became the first female techno act to close the Tomorrowland Main Stage. She also dropped an EP entitled ‘Universal Consciousness’ in April.

“Very proud and humbled to announce that Apollo EP is the worldwide number one release on Beatport,” the DJ wrote on Instagram. “Your love and support have been overwhelming. Thank you all ?”

Meanwhile, producer Agent Orange DJ made a track out of a snippet from one of de Witte’s interviews in which she says, “Yeah because I started as DJ as well I didn’t start as a producer. So I’m not like the classic studio nerd that’s like always on his laptop making tracks. And then at some point gets them signed.”

After sharing it on Instagram, Agent Orange DJ said: “So what did you think of this video I posted last week? Should I upload the full track today?”

In a post shared on Instagram, he wrote: “The response to this clip has been super haha. Just added a Dub mix with less of the vocal as requested. Still a free download.”

Noisia Share Footage of Final Performance at Lowlands Festival

Noisia, who released their final album ‘Closer’ in May, have shared footage of the trio’s final performance, the last ever Noisia show at the Lowlands Festival. This album comprises twenty tracks featuring greats like Skrillex, IMANU, and Camo & Krooked. The Dutch electronic music trio, which was formed over two decades ago, announced in 2019 that they were splitting up. In 2021, they announced a farewell tour with stops in cities including Budapest, Copenhagen, London, and Amsterdam.

“For almost 20 years, all three of us wanted pretty much the same, but we’ve developed, and realized that nowadays we want different things,” Noisia said in a statement shared on Instagram. “If we all wanted the same different things, it would make sense to do that as a different Noisia, but we want different things.”

The trio consisting of Martijn van Sonderen, Thijs de Vlieger, and Nik Roos wrote: “Our last ever show. Noisia Forever. Watch our full @lowlands_fest performance on our YouTube channel,” on their Instagram page.

fabric London to Become “World’s First” Nightclub-In-Residence at the Museum of London

fabric is joining forces with the Museum of London to become the “world’s first” nightclub-in-residence. The residency kicks off on October 25 with a one-night-only performance commissioned by artist Tai Shani, titled My Bodily Remains. Shani is a Turner Prize winner and her performance will include a live score by Maxwell Sterling and Richard Fearless. This partnership between fabric and the Museum of London comes as the Museum of London is set to shut its doors at London Wall this December and move to General Market in West Smithfield. The new location is across the street from fabric nightclub.

Fabric will be teaming up with the Museum of London again in 2025 when the nightclub celebrates its 25th anniversary. The Museum will help fabric host its own exhibition to “celebrate its impact on London’s nightlife and music scene.”

Cameron Leslie, the co-founder of fabric, said: “fabric are thrilled to be teaming up with our friends and soon to be neighbours at the Museum of London on this new venture and residency. It is a significant moment for us in our journey to establish fabric as a key cultural brand and represents a core milestone for the venue as we move towards our 25th birthday in 2024. As well as communicating fabric as a core cultural space, we’re also on a mission to promote electronic music as an art-form.”

“This new residency reflects this and we’re delighted to be hosting the first event in the partnership featuring a special performance commission by Turner Prize Winning Artist Tai Shani on 25th October,” Leslie added.

David Guetta and MORTEN Release New Single ‘Element’

The first release on Superstar David Guetta and MORTEN‘s new ‘Future Rave’ label is out now! Guetta and MORTEN are set to roll out a new EP on November 4. The label’s first release ‘Element’ is the first single off their forthcoming EP. According to EDM.com, the imprint ‘Future Rave’ will “showcase the next wave of the genre’s talent.”

Earlier this year, Guetta and MORTEN announced that they would be hosting a ‘Future Rave’ eighteen-week Friday Residency at Hï Ibiza. They also kicked off this year with a ‘future rave’ track ‘Permanence’. Apart from releasing music and playing before a massive audience, the ‘I’m Good (Blue)’ hitmaker David Guetta is also a guest mentor on ‘The Voice UK’ this season. 

Enei Announces New Album ‘Humans’

Hailing from St. Petersburg in Russia, Alexey Egorchenkov, better known as Enei released his debut album almost a decade ago in 2012. The sixteen-track album also featured DRS, Kemo, and Georgia Yates, among others. 

Enei has now announced his third album ‘Humans’ out on November 11. “Today I’m happy to announce my next single, The Hammer ?? It’s taken from my forthcoming BRAND NEW ALBUM entitled ‘Humans’ which will be out on the 11th November via Critical Music,” he wrote on Instagram.

‘Humans’ will also feature ‘No Man’, ‘Show Me’ featuring Odddi, and his latest release ‘The Hammer’. This year, Enei also played at the 2022 Boomtown Fair.
