Kygo Releases Surprise Album ‘Thrill of the Chase’

Kygo has released a fourteen-track surprise album titled ‘Thrill Of The Chase’. It is a follow-up to his third studio album ‘Golden Hour’, which came out in 2020. “My 4th album, ‘Thrill Of The Chase’ is out now! I’ve been working on this collection of songs over the last 2 years and hope you enjoy them as much as I do!” the Norwegian DJ wrote on his Instagram page.

The album features the band X Ambassadors, Australian singer-songwriter Dean Lewis, DNCE, and Lukas Graham, among others. The tracks ‘Dancing Feet’, ‘Freeze’, ‘Never Really Loved Me’, ‘Love Without You’, ‘Woke Up in Love’, ‘The Way We Were’, ‘Lonely Together’, and ‘Fever’ from Kygo’s new album were rolled out throughout 2022. The ‘It Ain’t Me’ hitmaker is currently busy with his ongoing South America tour with Frank Walker. He also recently performed at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Groove Armada’s ‘GA25’, A 25th-Anniversary Boxset Out Now

Groove Armada has released ‘GA25’, a boxset consisting of a 25-track double CD, a two-side LP, a 32-page booklet, and a 12”x12” poster to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their debut single ‘At The River’. 

“Here it is, GA25, the culmination of 25 incredible years spent making music together 🙌 Over two decades of our musical journey packed into a selection of our favorite tracks, both old and new,” the electronic music duo shared on their Instagram page.

Groove Armada, a duo consisting of Andy Cato and Tom Findlay, embarked on their ‘THE LAST FULL LIVE UK TOUR’ earlier this year. This week, Groove Armada was honored with Rolling Stone UK’s Icon award.

Honey Dijon Is Honored With the Queer Visionary Award 

Honey Dijon has been honored with The Queer Visionary Award, a lifetime achievement award for her contribution to the LGBTQ+ community, at a ceremony at the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art.

“I am filled with so much love and joy today. Last night I was honored and presented The Queer Visionary Award by the @gideon_dj_official @leslielohmanmuseum for being an artistic pioneer in the LGBTQIA+ community,” Honey Dijon shared on Instagram.

She concluded her statement by saying: “I felt like the most beautiful and powerful woman on earth.”

“Honey embodies Leslie-Lohman’s guiding values of queer liberation and magic,” the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art wrote on their Instagram. “We are particularly pleased to honor Honey with a very special award created by the artist Jonathan Lyndon Chase,” they added.

Dijon’s latest release is ‘Show Me Some Love’ with American rapper and singer Channel Tres and Sadie Walker.

Jayda G Shares Official Remix for Taylor Swift’s ‘Anti-hero’

Jayda G has released the official remix of superstar Taylor Swift’s hit single ‘Anti-Hero’. “Take your self-loathing to the dancefloor!” Swift wrote on Twitter while announcing the new track.

The Canadian house music producer also shared her collaboration ‘Mine O’ Mine’ with Aluna this year. She has performed at some of the greatest music festivals, including the Amsterdam Dance Event, Lost Village Festival, Flow Festival Helsinki, Coachella, Sónar festival, EDC Festival, and Parklife festival. Jayda G’s track ‘All I Need’ was also nominated for Underground Dance Single of the Year at the 2022 Juno Awards.

Sama’ Abdulhadi Announces Four-Week Phonox London Residency

Sama’ Abdulhadi has announced her four-week Phonox London residency and will take over the club every Friday in January 2023. Jennifer Cardini, Victor Ruiz, and Union DJs will join the Palestinian DJ and electronic music producer at the Brixton club.

“Let’s start January 2023 in a positive way – in London, every single damn Friday! I am hugely excited to join the list of iconic artists who have hosted the 4 Fridays residency in London @phonoxlondon …” Abdulhadi said while announcing her residency. “ I love playing at Phonox earlier this year for my Bring Back Beirut fundraiser and loved the energy of the loyal crowd who party there.”

“I am bringing with me my Union Collective again, plus have invited two artists who i respect hugely to join me @jennifercardini @victorruizdj,” she added. She performed at the Exit Festival, Printworks London, fabric London, DC-10 IBIZA, Coachella, Primavera Sound, and Glastonbury Festival this year. She also launched the ‘Bring Back Beirut’ initiative earlier this year to help raise funds for those affected by the 2020 explosion in Beirut, Lebanon. All the proceeds from ‘Bring Back Beirut’ went to a Lebanese NGO, Nusaned. 

Brodinski, Alison Wonderland, Bicep, and More Featured On ‘Need for Speed: Unbound’ Soundtrack

The Need for Speed racing game franchise revealed the ‘Need for Speed: Unbound’ official soundtrack, which features many artists, including Australian electronic dance music producer Alison Wonderland, Bicep, Mura Masa, Diplo, Kaytranada, and American rapper A$AP Rocky. Charli XCX, Tyler the Creator, Playboy Carti, Flo Milli, Rosalia, and many more are also a part of the soundtrack.

“The Need for Speed™ Unbound Official Soundtrack is a celebration of music around the world with over 70 tracks from 25 countries across the globe!” Need for Speed wrote on their Instagram while revealing the artists featured on the soundtrack. “Discover new artists spearheading a multitude of sub-genres across music championing self-expression and empowerment!”

Tomorrowland Unveils 2023 Theme 

The electronic dance music festival Tomorrowland has revealed that the theme of the next edition of the festival is ‘Adscendo’. It is also the title of the fantasy fiction book that Tomorrowland will be rolling out soon. 

“Dear People of Tomorrow, in 2023 you will witness the rise of a magnificent tale in the history of Tomorrowland’s Great Library: Adscendo. Our destination lies high on the horizon,” Tomorrowland wrote on their Instagram. 

Last year’s event took place across three weekends for the first time, and it sold 600,000 tickets in about ten minutes. Tomorrowland 2023 will be held in Boom, Belgium, on July 21-23 and July 28-30. 

Dabin Says ‘Sanctuary Live’ Is His Biggest Show Ever

Dabin has announced that he will be performing at Colorado’s open-air venue, Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, on March 31 next year. Electronic music producer Ray Volpe, EDM musician, and singer-songwriter JVNA, dance music producer/DJ Grabbitz, and electronic musician MYRNE will join Dabin at the March 31 show ‘SANCTUARY LIVE’.

Announcing ‘SANCTUARY LIVE’ on social media, the electronic music producer and instrumentalist Dabin, said: “I am SO proud to announce SANCTUARY LIVE at Red Rocks ⛰️Celebrating 3 albums and the community we’ve built together, all accompanied by my new live band.” “This is a dream come true, this is the biggest Dabin show ever.”

‘SANCTUARY LIVE’ will celebrate Dabin’s albums ‘Between Broken’, ‘Wild Youth’, and ‘Two Hearts’. “They said I’m the first Korean electronic music act to headline Red Rocks,” he wrote on Twitter.
