All You Need to Know About Sundance, New Zealand

Summer is coming! Welcome this sunshine season with Sundance, a one-day electronic music festival with a stunning line-up featuring Sanoi, Onderbroek, Logan Baker, Dale Rohan, and many more! You can enjoy Te Motu Vineyards’ award-winning restaurants and wines while listening to amazing music at Sundance in Waiheke Island, New Zealand, on Sunday, December 18, 2022. Purchase tickets to this event at Ticket Fairy.

Kicking off Sundance are Logan Baker and Dale Rohan with a b2b set. Auckland-based Logan Baker’s techno and house sound has reached global status since he started DJing in the early 2000s. He has toured across Europe and has also performed at the Strawberry Fields stage in Australia, and the Shipwrecked festival and Hidden Valley Festival in Auckland.

From London to Berlin, and back to his hometown in Auckland, Dale Rohan’s love for techno saw him travel to a variety of places, becoming recognized as a promising up-and-comer. The DJ is fresh off his performance at Shipwrecked’s Adrift, with his upcoming b2b set partner Logan Baker. Rohan will also be playing at abracadabra following his showcase at Sundance.

Sundance will also see SANOI pushing buttons behind the deck. He kicked off the year with a party at Rhythm & Alps, and later on played at Lost Art, Adrift, and also supported German producers Monkey Safari in July. The electronic dance music DJ/producer hailing from Germany has had releases on the electronic music labels Bar25 Music, Stil vor Talent, and Magician on Duty. He has announced plans to perform at THAT WEEKEND, Soundsplash Festival, and Splore Festival the following year.

“On December 18 we are taking over @te_motu_waiheke for a day full of tasty groves paired up with even tastier wines,” SANOI took to Instagram to announce that he will be playing Sundance. “Come for a day trip to the natural wonder that is waiheke island and get the beats from @logan_bake_r @dalerohans @fer_onderbroek_gru and yours truly courtesy of @insomniak_records,” he added.

Closing out the December 18 event at Te Motu Vineyards is Onderbroek, the director and co-founder of techno, minimal deep tech, and progressive-techno international label Insomniak Records. Speaking of Sundance, he wrote on Instagram: “So excited to receive the summer in such a beautiful way. Looking forward to Play around this epic line up 🖤”

This event “is strictly no BYO (Bring Your Own).” Wine will be available at Sundance; and Garage Project, a brewery in Aro Valley, Wellington, will be sending some beer for the festivities!

This is an 18+ event. IDs will be checked at the door.
