Bicep’s Alexandra Palace Concert Live Streamed on TikTok
Electronic music DJ/producer duo Bicep performed at London’s Alexandra Palace on December 2 and 3 and live-streamed the concert on their official TikTok channel (@bicepmusic). The first show is part of the platform’s #ElectronicMusic series, produced by PIXL.
“We’re celebrating being featured as the electronic artist of the month via #ElectronicMusic on TikTok by broadcasting the first night of our sold out Alexandra Palace London Shows,” Bicep, the duo made up of Matthew McBriar and Andrew Ferguson, said prior to their performance as per NME. “This is our biggest production yet!”
The Pete Tong DJ Academy Launches Future Talent Awards
After launching his Pete Tong DJ Academy, the English DJ has announced the Future Talent Awards “to showcase the best pupils that come through the course.” At the Pete Tong DJ Academy, pupils receive tips and tutorials from some of the biggest names in the industry in one-to-one video tutorials from mentors, including Tong, Welsch producer/DJ Jamie Jones, Lebanese/British event promoter and record label founder Nicole Moudaber, and academy co-founder Carl Cox.
The Future Talent Awards, to be held at Dalt Vila in Ibiza, will team up with each mentor to nominate their top students. The winners will be honored during the 2023 International Music Summit, following which the grand prize winner will get to play a set at Dalt Villa and will also be featured on DJ Mag’s UK and US editions as well as on djmag.com.

“Every year we will pick 10 winning mixes from our DJ Academy student submissions and these select few will have the chance to play with our teachers at our global DJ events,” they added.
Martin Garrix Has Announced a New Academy for Rising Artists
Martin Garrix has teamed up with JBL to launch The Martin Garrix & JBL Music Academy at the Dutch electronic dance music star’s STMPD RCRDS and Studios in Amsterdam. The three-day program will be held from March 28 to 31, 2023. The academy’s students will learn everything from mixing, mastering, and writing to social media, branding, legal affairs, PR, and more. Industry experts will deliver sessions for 40 artists, including vocalists, producers, and songwriters from all over the world.

London’s City Splash Festival Unveils Phase 1 Line-up
The City Splash Festival, scheduled to take place on May 29 at Brockwell Park in Brixton, has unveiled its phase 1 line-u,. The festival, which “celebrates reggae, dancehall, and afrobeats,” will be headlined by Jamaican reggae artist Chronixx, along with Channel One, General Levy, DJ Izzy Bossy, Mercedes Benson, Neptizzle, and more.
Jamaican reggae singer-songwriter and rapper Koffee, dancehall artist Shenseea and Skillibeng are also on the line-up. This festival features performances from more than 60 artists, seven stages, a creative market, over 45 food traders, drink stalls, and more! “🥳Get READY for 1️⃣ day of AMAZING music 🎶, GOOD energy✨and PURE vibes all day!!” City Splash Festival said while revealing the Phase 1 line-up of the 2023 edition of the festival on Instagram.
Rezz’s New Label HypnoVizion Announces First Artist Release Out This Week
Isqa is the first artist to release music on Canadian DJ and record producer Rezz’s recently launched label, HypnoVizion. Titled ‘i l4ove you,’ Isqa’s new EP will be out on HypnoVizion on December 8. The label announced Isqa’s forthcoming EP via social media saying, “i 4ove you, the new EP from @isqa3d officially drops on @hypnovizion records DECEMBER 8.”
The very first release on HypnoVizion was Rezz’s ‘Nightmare On Rezz Street 2 Mix,’ which came out on October 25 this year. Rezz kicked off this year with a twelve-track album featuring collaborations with American pop-rock band PVRIS, Dove Cameron, and dubstep producer PEEKABOO, among others.
Printworks London Announces More Than 40 Shows for “The Final Season”
Printworks London took to social media to announce dates for over 40 shows for its “final season.” “Our biggest season to date will be a celebration of the history of Printworks and a farewell to the venue for the last time in its current guise,” the iconic London venue wrote on Instagram.
Some of the biggest and finest talents in the dance music realm will take over the venue for its “final season,” running from February 3 to May 2023. Canadian electronic music producer/DJ Deadmau5 and Kaskade will headline the February 3 show, while Vienna’s electronic music duo Camo & Krooked and Mefjus will play a b2b set on February 10. Charlotte de Witte will take over the venue on February 11, and Jayda G will play at Printworks on March 10. More details are yet to be announced!
