What To Expect From The Game Awards 2022
This year has had a staggering number of games that have done well and even exceeded fan expectations after launch. There are 31 different categories in The Game Awards for 2022, each with five or more nominated games, and knowing that God of Ragnarök and The Elder Scrolls VI: Skyrim are present in many of the categories, we’re sure they’ll take home a few awards.
While the awards have always been the main event, we are actually looking forward to hearing more about upcoming games. We’ve seen games like Elden Ring and Sonic Frontiers announced at The Game Awards over the years, and our expectations for upcoming games getting unveiled are at an all-time high.
As we’ve mentioned above, COVID-19 put a complete halt to many events taking place all around the world, and the same was true for The Game Awards. For two years, the annual event was held online and streamed live, but now various game developers will present their new projects on-site, and there is even said to be a musical guest present at the awards ceremony.
