After three long years restricted by COVID-19, The Game Awards has finally hosted their 2022 ceremony with a live audience. The awards ceremony included thirty-one categories, each with more than five nominated games.
The Game Awards 2022 saw some epic highs this year. Hosted by TGA creator and producer Geoff Keighley, the four-hour ceremony included exciting announcements and exclusive previews for the coming year in gaming.
Across 31 categories, from the esteemed Game of the Year award to awards recognizing eSports players, teams, and coaches, The Game Awards boasted upwards of five nominees per category. The 2022 smash hit, Elden Ring, bagged four awards, ending the event with the Game of the Year title, while God of War Ragnarök totaled out five awards, including Best Audio Design and Best Performance.
