As you deck the halls with boughs of holly, celebrate the last Friday before Christmas at an Xmas Party with drum & bass duo State of Mind, at The Mothership on December 23, 2022, in Auckland, New Zealand. Joining State of Mind is MC Crafty, on a line-up featuring Getafix, Bad Content, TwentyTwo, and Monarch. Tickets for this event are powered by Ticket Fairy.
State of Mind, consisting of Stuart Maxwell and Patrick Hawkins, returns to The Mothership next week after having played there in July. This year, they embarked on a Europe Summer Tour in August that had them perform at Let It Roll Festival, Renegade Festival, Hoodbeats Festival, and a lot more! 2022 saw State of Mind release the collaborative track, ‘Runaway Train,’ with Smooth, along with their singles ‘ESP,’ ‘Cenotaph,’ and ‘Savage Planet’ featuring Dutch drum and bass group Black Sun Empire.

Formed in 2005, they have had releases on a variety of DnB labels, including independent record label Shogun Audio, CIA Recordings, and Viper Recordings. The duo launched SOM Records in 2009, which is home to talents like Mindscape, Black Sun Empire, and Borderline. They’ve released five studio albums so far, a testament to their illustrious career.
Also on the line-up for the Xmas Party at The Mothership is TwentyTwo, a drum & bass DJ/producer and radio host from New Zealand. “Very keen for this one. Don’t usually post gig posters anymore but how could I not! Big thanks to @stateofmindpat for getting me on!!” he said in a post on Instagram.
Auckland-based producer Getaflix, drum and bass DJ Monarch, Bad Content, and MC Crafty round out the bill. “Ho Ho Ho Ho! The annual, infamous ‘STATE OF MIND XMAS PARTY’ is back! This time hosted inside the plush aircraft walls of ‘THE MOTHERSHIP’!” Monarch wrote on Instagram. “I’m absolutely stoked to be a part of this line up!! FRIDAY DEC 23 – 10PM Don’t miss out on this! ??” the DJ added.
