Drum and bass heavyweight DJ Andy C will head to Napier, New Zealand, for an iconic musical blowout presented by Hawkes Bass. MC Tonn Piper, AV & BMC, and Levi will open the night at Bev Ridges on York on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. Tickets for this event are powered by Ticket Fairy.
Andy C has had a big year, having toured the UK and USA with Tonn Piper, playing at Eden Ibiza alongside Sub Focus and Wilkinson, making his debut at Gunnersbury Park by performing at Electric City Festival in London; and taking the Creamfields South, Parklife Festival, Glastonbury Festival, MADE Festival, We Are FSTL, Victorious Festival stages, among many others.
He was also on BBC Radio 1’s Spring Residency line-up this year. The legendary DJ, who is the co-founder of RAM Records, was crowned Best DJ at the Drum & Bass Awards 2022. His latest musical release is a remix of The Prodigy’s ‘Firestarter.’

Last month, he announced that he would be joining the English electronic dance music band The Prodigy next year as their special guest at three headline shows in Ireland. Andy C is also set to embark on a European club tour in 2023, running from February 3 to March 4, with stops including Lisbon, Paris, and Warsaw.
The star will head to the 02 Arena in London next year to headline a show on April 7. Announcing his “5-hour non-stop DnB set” at the venue with a capacity of 20,000 fans, he said on Instagram that it would be “The First ever Drum & Bass DJ show at The O2 ARENA”, and his “Biggest indoor show EVER.”
Tonn Piper, MC/host for Andy C, who has been on the road with him this past year, is also on the bill. AV and BMC (stage name of Mahana Christy) are the supporting acts at the forthcoming event. BMC has been a supporting act for the DnB duo State of Mind and a special guest at Mardi Gras NZ’s Ohakune Street Parties this year.`

Opening this event at Bev Ridges on York is Levi. Announcing her performance at Andy C’s gig, she wrote: “ooooweeee how bloody good is this 🤪🤘 best way to start my birthday weekend was getting asked to open for the man, the myth, the legend @andyc_ramagram 🔥 how can you get much better than this? big up @hawkes_bass_ for having me once again – December is going to be laaaaarge 😤”
In 2022, she got behind the decks to support Degs, Sota, Hospital Records’ Unglued, and The Prototypes, and created a mix for the NZ DNB guest mix series. She was also a part of the George FM Snowball and Summer Tour Wellington line-up, and was on support duties for Matrix & Futurebound to celebrate Hawkes Bass’ 4th birthday.
