After a year-long hiatus, one of the most influential electronic music producers from the last decade is making a comeback with not one, but two studio albums in 2023. For a man who paved the way to the forward-thinking music we hear today, it’s a comeback fans have dreamed of. The news of brand new music from Skrillex came via his Instagram page when he cleared his posts and posted a teaser of his upcoming album with the caption “QFF/DGTC 23.” Social media hawk-eyes have deciphered the cryptic caption as ‘Quantum Field Friends/Don’t Get Too Close,’ which they believe will be the names of his double album release. Just hours after teasing his album, Skrillex dropped the biggest bomb when he announced the first tune from his album; a collaboration with British sensations Four Tet, Fred Again.. and Flowdan. Named producer of the year in 2020 at the BRIT Awards, Fred Again..’s ascension to one of the hottest properties in electronic music has been inspirational. Since his debut, Fred Again.. has produced numerous hit singles and four studio albums that feature some of the freshest music we have heard lately; while Flowdan, on the other hand, is a bona fide legend.
