Crobar Buenos Aires is the City’s Hottest Electronic Music Venue

Set in the illustrious Palermo barrio (neighborhood) in Buenos Aires, Crobar Club stands proud as the city’s top techno music venue.

Able to pack a whopping 2300 heads on any given night, with multiple mezzanines and 2 dance floors, it is easy to see why Crobar Club is a favorite in Buenos Aires. While its identifier is techno music and its frequenters are electronic music’s top performers, Crobar does not shy away from a multi-genre approach, having hosted a variety of musical styles and performances, each of which drew in energetic crowds, running into the early hours of the morning.

About Crobar

What is important to know about Crobar, aside from the experience it offers, is the prime location it calls home. Palermo, Buenos Aires’ largest and most luxurious neighborhood, has everything an upscale Buenos Aires tourist looks for. Unique dining experiences, art installations and museums, and various nightclubs, most of which are titled to be the best the city has to offer, against a lush greenscape and pristine water bodies – Palermo is Buenos Aires’ hottest spot for those seeking parties and those seeking a well-rounded visit alike.

Crobar Club overlooks Palermo’s Infanta Isabel avenue, which encircles not one, but two rose gardens, and the famous Puente Griego (Greek Bridge), a popular tourist location in the neighborhood. Attendees can expect like-minded crowds at Crobar, ones that are looking for the very same thing that you are – a true to Buenos Aires techno party. While Crobar Clubs in Chicago, NYC, and Miami are not associated with a particular genre, the Buenos Aires’ venue has become known as one of the city’s best techno haunts, bringing in local and international DJs with expertly curated line-ups for both techno savants and the newly-inducted.

Expect luxurious industrial interiors, a careful balance of steels and leathers, superior quality LED and laser lighting, and of course, a sound system to match. Dine-in is also available at Crobar, as well as a hearty variety of alcoholic beverages. Recognized as a pioneer for the Buenos Aires techno scene, Crobar has also graced the DJ Mag Top 100 Club polls from 2019 to 2022, starting off at 63rd position and climbing to 51st as of ’22.

Music at Crobar

The techno-heavy venue is no stranger to the genre’s top talents. Having hosted the best and brightest of not only techno, but house and electronica, Crobar currently stands as Palermo’s techno haven. Everyone from techno/house DJ/producers Seth Troxler, Mens of Clam, and Brian Gros, to electronic musicians Kevin de Vries, Amelie Lens, Jan Blomqvist, Sol Ortega, and more, have graced the Crobar stages, delivering performances that are still revered today.

Crobar also dabbles in pop, rock, and alternative, presenting famed German electronic musician Apparat (known globally for the hit track ‘Goodbye’ featured in Netflix’s smash hit German show, DARK) in 2010. You can also catch the occasional live band, dishing stunning rock sets, and vocal performers both alongside electronic performers and instrumentalists.

Where techno reigns supreme, there are bound to be exciting events for fans of the genre. Most popular at Crobar are its Friday parties, strictly techno-driven and strictly high-octane. Tourists and residents alike make it a point to wind down into the weekend at Crobar, and for good reason.

The venue frequently partners with Buenos Aires’ and Argentina’s best organizers, promoters, and artist managers to curate events that are all-encompassing. Past collaborators and partners include Argentinian techno record label teQwave records, boutique talent agency BAN Talent, Estamos Felices – an end-to-end artist management and event curation company and record label, and event organizers DUSK and Un_Mute.

Crobar is also known for its gay nights, usually curated on Saturdays, and its trance nights, having hosted some of the genre’s best, including DJ/producer Andy Moor and Egyptian duo Aly & Fila.
