A warehouse ‘rave of gargantuan proportions,’ co-helmed by Australia’s junglist and DnB buffs Junkyard Sessions and Safe Events, comes to Brisbane on Saturday, February 11, 2023! Junglist Mrs Magoo, underground powerhouse duo DE-TÜ, and electronica artist Versa will take over The Shed from 3 PM onwards. Award-winning Scottish junglist Mrs Magoo (Shannon Magoo) takes to the stage at The Shed as part of her debut tour in Australia. Her travels to the country saw her tearing up the stage at four gigs fanned out between January and February 2023 in cities like Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth. The gig in Brisbane will be her final stop in Australia. Mrs Magoo will be joined as the headline act by one of the UK’s finest underground electronic duo DE-TÜ (Jevon Ives & Chris Iona), and dub, techno, bass, and electronica maestro Versa (Michael Versa).
Mrs Magoo expressed her anticipation to us when asked about the Australian tour, she said, “Australia has been absolutely amazing, I really feel like I’ve made new family out here. Every show has been wonderful and everyone so welcoming! Can’t wait to hit Brisbane for my final stop on the tour! Heard great things about these guys so I’m really excited!”

A bevy of Australian-based musicians rounds out the line-up for the gig. These include Safe Event’s Safe Soundsystem (Green Eggs & Sam and Koya Dubz), PHDNB, Blottarz (Corey Fletcher), Darl, Kosha D, Cuttle, Blotterz, Tim Crasher, and Brisbane-based beatmaker DJ De La Haye. The sunlight to sunset showcase will stem from the music, arts, and event venue The Shed, located at 37 Butterfield Street, Herston, Brisbane.
Formed in 2018, Safe Events is a Brisbane-based grime, dubstep, drum & bass collective, whilst Junkyard Sessions has hosted regular DnB and jungle events as well as different drum & bass raves across Meanjin, helmed by artists Kosha D and De La Haye.
