Event organizer Smoke Cannon wrote on Instagram: “Today I’m announcing the launch of my new project, Smoke Cannon Events, a promotions group created with the purpose of organizing safe, high quality events, that showcase the best local DJs at an affordable price.”

“Over the last year I’ve absolutely fallen in love with Wellington’s dance music community, and I would love to create events where everyone can come together, catch up, and have fun, without breaking the bank,” they added.

DnB producer/DJ Scarfie is the headlining act for Smoke Cannon’s debut gig. Aside from playing at the Hide Club, Mardi Gras Ohakune, and Hideaway Festival, DJ Scarfie has also supported the likes of Poris, Sly Chaos, and REAPER at Love Not Lost, and Heimanu at Sweat Shop Brew Kitchen. His latest musical release is a remix of Cymbol’s ‘Burn Like Fire,’ which was rolled out last month.

They will be joined by Kalo, Eight Oh, and Modena, who have all previously gotten behind the deck at Love Not Lost, Wellington.
