Touted as “quite possibly New Zealand’s most chilled-out beer event,” the South Island Beer Festival (SIBF) is to make its first appearance of 2023. On February 18, 2023, attendees can grab a glass of their favorite beers and ciders on the lush grounds of Ilam Homestead in Christchurch. As with the November 2022 edition, tickets are powered by The Ticket Fairy!
Set to pour at SIBF are over thirty craft beers and ciders from breweries located all over South Island. This massive exhibition of local brews has been recognized by the members of the Society of Beer Advocates (New Zealand) as the Best Canterbury Beer Event on multiple occasions. American Porter, Hefeweizen, Amber Ale, Doppelbock, Munich Helles Lager, Kölsch, Lager Stout Porter, German Ale, Belgium Ale, Irish Ale, and more can be enjoyed at the festival! Aotearoa-based musicians Kate Owen and Sammy will also treat the heritage structure with their live music.

SIBF passes include a custom festival glass, wristbands, an itinerary, as well as five drinks – a choice of beer, wine, or cider. Sober Tickets are also available for those who would like to enjoy the local treats and live music, along with a sober glass. The festivities at South Island Beer Festival will begin at 12:00 noon and concludes at 5:30 PM. The organizers will strike the bell at 5.15 PM, signaling the last call for drinks.
