New Operator Coming to Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege

Just like every new season, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege will be getting a massive update on March 27, 2023. The update will feature a new operator joining the attackers’ side and various other changes mentioned below.

In the Reveal Panel conducted on February 19, 2023, Ubisoft gave us the first look at the newest season, ‘Operation Commanding Force,’ that features various new and improved gameplay mechanics, but more importantly, the newest operator joining the attackers’ side.

We have listed down everything you need to know about Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Operation Commanding Force:

Operator and Weapon Balancing

The gameplay of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege has changed significantly with each new season, and Operation Commanding Force is no exception. We’ve gone over Ubisoft’s patch notes for Season One of Year Eight and listed each change you should be aware of.

With Operation Commanding Force, it’s quite evident that the developers at Ubisoft are trying to slow down the gameplay and make it more tactical by adding various tweaks and changes.

One of the highlighted changes would be the reload mechanic that will be coming in the upcoming season, in which players who interrupt the reload animation will remain without a magazine until the animation is completed. If players use a closed-bolt system gun, they will have only a single bullet in their magazine.

The second major change coming to weapon balancing in Rainbow Six Siege is a buff to the compensator. Recoil was reduced by 15% due to the compensator, which also helps control horizontal recoil. Players who have the attachment equipped in Operation Commanding Force will experience 30% less recoil from their weapons.

The muzzle brake is another attachment that Ubisoft improved. The attachment is usually used to control the recoil coming from only the first bullet let out of your gun. Its current effectiveness is 45% during Operation Solar Raid and will increase to 50% during Operation Commanding Forces.

While the recoil of the F2 was increased, Twitch’s shock drones are getting a tweak. The drones will now be able to travel faster compared to the previous season, which was set at 5.9 but has now increased to 14. The last update for an operator would be Zero’s Argus cameras, which do not peer through walls until Zero has commanded them to. Surviving players can swap through each camera and swap the sides as well.

New Operator: ‘Brava’

The newest operator joining Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is Brava. She’s a three-speed, one-armor fighter who joins the attacker’s side on March 27, 2023, carrying a gadget called the Kludge Drone, which helps destroy or hack enemy gadgets.

Brava is the newest member of Team Viperstrike, which is led by Hibana and consists of technical support experts. Her primary weapons are the PARA-308, an assault rifle similar to Capito’s, and the CAMR, a marksman rifle similar to Buck’s. As her secondary weapon, she carries a USP-40, a handgun, and a Super Shorty.

Her unique ability, as mentioned above, is the Kludge Drone, which has the ability to hack defender gadgets, but more specifically, electronic devices. It’ll be quite funny to see a Kapkan trigger his own trap, or even take default cameras without the defenders noticing.

Players who pick Brava have two normal drones that they can use to search for enemies, traps, and utilities that’ll be troublesome for your team. Players can choose to carry two claymores or even smoke grenades to cover the line of sight when your team decides they want to plant the diffuser.
